So?   That does not mean it is pro gay or anything like that.    It simply means it is using modern English.

I Would do some side by side comparisons for example Compare Romans 1:18-32 with other versions, etc, And get an idea of what the translators bias is per se. I think in the case of Genesis 1:27 they got the "feminist" PC language of modern culture in there. Whether this was intentional or not is not what I am saying. When words like vile affections or reprobate mind are replaced with words like "Shameful things" and "worthless thinking", these verses lose their "oomph" if you understand that. (Romans 1:26, and romans 1:28) Does that mean this version condones homosexuality and reprobate minds, No, But those verse are robbed of their power to convict in my opinion.

I did read through the translators statement of faith and it seems sound so I am not condemning them out right, But this sort of version should not be used for instruction into deeper theological Truths, without a more thorough version as a guide. I Know people that have been saved using the Living Bible, and I for a long time read the NIV (I do not anymore for these reasons) so there is a place for this sort of accessible version, But it should be understood that meaty topics may be missed or made out to be less severe because of this language used. A Reprobate mind is far more than "worthless thinking", we all do worthless thinking in the course of a day, a reprobate mind is one that devoid of a conscience altogether, and is a state of utter rebellion to the word of God people reach, when they Oppose the Truth of God.

That is my two cents on this.... I am not condemning you for using this version, but for doctrine you may want to use a more sound version. If You have trouble with the Old English of the KJV use the NKJV But be careful as some of them have some errors as well. I myself, used to love reading Shakespeare, and memorized all my Bible verses as a kid from the KJV so I have no trouble understanding the language therein, and I believe it is the best translation out there. It's Bias is Known, (Monarchichal Paternalistic) and the errors in it have been well exposed in various ways. I also have an ESV, which I use especially if the language gets burdensome as it does in places in the KJV But even then I compare various versions, and even use strong's and go back to the original Greek or Hebrew. I also posted a video here on the Heptadic structure of scripture, By Chuck Missler, He has numerous videos on this which is amazing to me, and some of the codexes that the translators use have this "fingerprint of God" on them while others do not. It is in the video section, or go look it up on youtube. I also use the KJV because there are no copyright warnings when posting online to worry about, which the other versions have. For example here is the ESV copyright rules.  https://www.biblegateway.com/versions/English-Standard-Version-ESV-Bible/#copy And here is the KJV Copyright info: https://www.biblegateway.com/versions/King-James-Version-KJV-Bible/#copy You may also want to look into the WEB bible as this has no copyright restrictions as well, though this is a newer version and I have not done much looking into the accuracy of this one???

God Bless.

Since this scripture in Genesis is not in the NT, you will not find it in the TR or the Nestle text. You are not aware that the OT is Hebrew, not Greek?

I saw that after I posted, and did not correct it. LXX and Masoretic text is what it should have been...

I already posted from their site,  it does not fit your claims friend.   These texts clearly show that the PC Police is not involved.

1 Corinthians 14:34 The women should keep quiet in these church meetings. They are not allowed to speak out but should be under authority, as the Law of Moses says.

Romans 1

23 Instead of honoring the divine greatness of God, who lives forever, they traded it for the worship of idols—things made to look like humans, who get sick and die, or like birds, animals, and snakes.

24 People wanted only to do evil. So God left them and let them go their sinful way. And so they became completely immoral and used their bodies in shameful ways with each other. 25 They traded the truth of God for a lie. They bowed down and worshiped the things God made instead of worshiping the God who made those things. He is the one who should be praised forever. Amen.

26 Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex with men and started having sex with other women. 27 In the same way, men stopped having natural sex with women and began wanting each other all the time. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs.

28 People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking. And so they do what they should not do. 29 They are filled with every kind of sin, evil, greed, and hatred. They are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, lying, and thinking the worst things about each other. They gossip 30 and say evil things about each other. They hate God. They are rude, proud, and brag about themselves. They invent ways of doing evil. They don’t obey their parents, 31 they are foolish, they don’t keep their promises, and they show no kindness or mercy to others. 32 They know God’s law says that anyone who lives like that should die. But they not only continue to do these things themselves, but they also encourage others who do them.

Ephesians 5:21-33 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
Wives and Husbands
21 Be willing to serve each other out of respect for Christ.

22 Wives, be willing to serve your husbands the same as the Lord. 23 A husband is the head of his wife, just as Christ is the head of the church. Christ is the Savior of the church, which is his body. 24 The church serves under Christ, so it is the same with you wives. You should be willing to serve your husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives the same as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. 26 He died to make the church holy. He used the telling of the Good News to make the church clean by washing it with water. 27 Christ died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride in all her beauty. He died so that the church could be holy and without fault, with no evil or sin or any other thing wrong in it.

28 And husbands should love their wives like that. They should love their wives as they love their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself, 29 because no one ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church 30 because we are parts of his body. 31 The Scriptures say, “That is why a man will leave his father and mother and join his wife, and the two people will become one.”[a] 32 That secret truth is very important—I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 But each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself. And a wife must respect her husband.

Concerning copyright rules,  I am a retired Teacher from Christian Schools.   I know the fair use doctrine well enough to know that I am not violating them.

"but the initials of the version (such as “ERV” for the Easy-to-Read Version in English) must appear at the end of each quotation."

Dictionaries - Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology - Adam

""Adam" is both the proper name of the first human and a designation for humankind."

Bereshis 1:27 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)
27 So G-d created humankind in His own tzelem, in the tzelem Elohim (image of G-d) created He him; zachar (male) and nekevah (female) created He them.

"

The Hebrew word adam is translated either as “man” or “Adam” depending on context and on the presence or lack of the definite article (“the” in English, ha in Hebrew). So “ha-adam“ is translated usually as “the man” (referring to either an unspecified man or to mankind as a whole, depending on context), whereas adam (without ha) is translated as “Adam” (referring to the specific man by the name). So all the way through Genesis 1–3 we have ha-adam and our English Bibles usually translate it as “man” or “the man.” Some translations give “Adam” for ha-adam in Genesis 2:19 or 2:20. In Genesis 3:17 and Genesis 3:21 we have adam (with no ha), which most English Bibles translate as “Adam.”

There is one more exception in this section of Scripture, which can only be understood in context. Genesis 1:26 says “And God said, ‘let us make man [adam, with no ha before it] in our image’” and 1:27 is parallel to verse 26, giving more definition and precision to the statement in verse 26. Verse 27 says “so God created man [ha-adam] in His own image, in the image of God he created him.“ So we are thinking of a single man at this point. But then it adds “male and female he created them“ (plural). So now we see that “man” comes in two forms: male and female."( Dr. Terry Mortenson, AiG–US  )  https://answersingenesis.org/adam-and-eve/in-depth-look-at-translation-of-hebrew-word-adam/

"Heb. 'Adam, used as the proper name of the first man. The name is derived from a word meaning "to be red," and thus the first man was called Adam because he was formed from the red earth. It is also the generic name of the human race ( Genesis 1:26 Genesis 1:27 ; 5:2 ; 8:21 ; Deuteronomy 8:3 ). Its equivalents are the Latin homo and the Greek anthropos ( Matthew 5:13 Matthew 5:16 ). It denotes also man in opposition to woman ( Genesis 3:12 ; Matthew 19:10 )."  https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/man/

The Complete Jewish Bible
Genesis 1:27 (CJB) So God created humankind in his own image; in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.

"2 collective man, mankind Genesis 1:26; Genesis 9:5,6 (3 t. in verse) + (P 28 t.) Genesis 6:1,5,6,7 (J E 24 t.) Deuteronomy 4:32 (D 6 t.) (on 2 Samuel 7:19 compare 1 Chronicles 17:17 see DrSm); distinctly = men + women Genesis 1:27; Genesis 5:1; Numbers 5:6;"   (Brown-Driver-Briggs)  https://biblehub.com/hebrew/120.htm

From Strong's "From 'adam; ruddy i.e. A human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.) "

Hebrew was my first language as a child.   I have always read the word in that context as all humans or mankind in general.

Since, I am quite old and have not used Hebrew in decades,  I am now consulting sources on the Hebrew language like most people do.  In my case because of memory problems.

"A reprobate mind is a mind that is given over to sinful passions and ungodly desires. It is another way of describing a person who is set on satisfying the flesh and not on the Spirit of God. It is a person who rejects God and does what is self-serving instead of what God desires. Therefore, someone who is reprobate is under the condemnation of God."  https://carm.org/what-is-a-reprobate-mind

If we read the full verse in ERV,  that is exactly what is being described.    The definition of Reprobate Mind comes from reast of the verse.

My household and extended family spoke Hebrew, Yiddish and Cherokee.   One of my Mothers was Jewish as was my Great Grandfather.   My Great Grandmother was Cherokee.   My Father was a Sexton ( a LDS, Mormon fundamentalist sect out of beaver island in Michigan).   English was not spoken in our house.   I was in the era where Christians avoided TV.

Psalm 8:4 Lexham English Bible (LEB)
what is a human being that you think of him?
and a child of humankind that you care for him?

Psalm 8 Lexham English Bible (LEB)
Yahweh’s Glory in Creation
For the music director, on the Gittith.[a] A psalm of David.
8 Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth,
who put your splendor above the heavens.
2 From the mouth of children and infants you have founded[c] strength
on account of your enemies,
to silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars which you set in place—
4 what is a human being that you think of him?
and a child of humankind that you care for him?

5 And you made him a little lower than heavenly beings,[d]
and with glory and with majesty you crowned him.
6 You make him over the works of your hands;
all things you have placed under his feet:
7 sheep and cattle, all of them,
and also the wild animals of the field,
8 the birds of the sky and the fish of the sea,
everything that passes along the paths of seas.
9 Yahweh, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all of the earth!

Psalm 8 King James Version (KJV)
8 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Psalm 8 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
To the director: With the gittith. A song of David.
8 Lord our Lord, your name is the most wonderful in all the earth!
It brings you praise everywhere in heaven.

2 From the mouths of children and babies come songs of praise to you.
They sing of your power to silence your enemies who were seeking revenge.

3 I look at the heavens you made with your hands.
I see the moon and the stars you created.
4 And I wonder, “Why are people so important to you?
Why do you even think about them?
Why do you care so much about humans[a]?
Why do you even notice them?”

5 But you made them almost like gods
and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You put them in charge of everything you made.
You put everything under their control.
7 People rule over the sheep and cattle and all the wild animals.
8 They rule over the birds in the sky
and the fish that swim in the sea.
9 Lord our Lord, your name is the most wonderful name in all the earth!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
