Hey, Yomo!

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting your struggle correctly or not, but given the info, I'd like to share a few thoughts.

As I have mentioned before......I have felt absolutely empy and far from God.

I know this is hard, but one principle I have learned is that at times the Lord will distance Himself from us just so that we will pursue after Him - kind-of like "hide and go seek." Just like any other relationship, our relationship with the Lord can go stale if we continue in the same routines. So, the Lord will shake things up a bit for us. I hope that makes sense.

I'm so hardened to everything, so I won't get hurt any more....

but there's a problem.

I think I've gone hard against God.

If I open myself up....I know I'll get hurt again.....

By hardened, do you mean being afraid to be open, to be honost?

Sometimes, the best thing you can do is to stick in a worship CD, and then just start worshipping. Let yourself abide in the Lord's presence. Even just sitting on the floor and worshipping inwardly without physically singing.

There's times I've done this, and the Lord just ministered to my heart without me trying to do anything. He just ministered.

Think you can try that?

The devil has been attacking me, and bombarding me with horrible thoughts.

It's been going so,so long....

A really bad thought, which, had I  thought two or three months ago, I would have felt so bad.......

but now.......I feel so numb to it now.

To every thought......I feel so numb....I know it's wrong.......but......

I'm not sure I understand, but do you mean a struggle with sin?

Just remember that faith has nothing to do with feelings. The important thing to focus on is, "What do the Scriptures say?" And then believing this to be true, no matter what your feelings are doing.

For women, feelings are like waves. When our feelings develop one way, we need to let the feelings develop, rise, and then crash on their own.

It sounds like whatever you are struggling with started with some kind of hurt?

Instead of burying the pain, you need to let it out. Scream and cry if you have to, but just get it out. Read the Psalms when david was crying out to the Lord . . . notice he didn't have too many well-wishes for his enemies! (i.e. "Shatter the teeth of the wicked!" . . . not what we would call too "loving" is it?!).

Hope that helps!

Thanks, Zayit.

I have some more questions.

Will God let go of me.....I mean, it says in the Bible that God let the Israelites go and do their own thing...........and let them go into destruction.

Ok....I'm being silly.

I know God won't forsake me.......but I have such problems with my thoughts.......temptation to swear and think blasphmemous thoughts are always around me..........

And when I eventually "crack" and give way to the horrible thoughts.......I go so numb..........

I HATE IT!!!

I think this has been the worst time of my life.....

God help me!!!

Yomo

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

God did not let go of the Israelites; the Israelites pushed away from God.

Something that might help you out is if you would spend time more and more time in the Word of God, spend more and more time on your knees seeking Gods face. You may even want to spend time fasting and praying....

Lift your hands to Him. And talk to Him and let Him know what you are dealing with.

Let God know how you feel....

You may think about it a bit like this. We all tend to feel "empty" or lacking at times, picture this, if you take a balloon (not having to worry about it bursting) a new one, and filled it with water, it would hold maybe an ounce, with out any pressure being added.

Now, empty the balloon out, and fill it again, it will hold about the same amount, empty it again and again do this over. It will hold the same amount.

This would be like our lives going to church once or twice a week, and getting our weekly dose of the Lord.

Now, take that same balloon, and fill it up, still holds only about an ounce, now add (force) another ounce into it. Empty it, and then fill it up with no extra pressure and it will hold more then the original ounce, maybe even 1.5 ounces.

Now, lets do this again, fill it up with no extra pressure, and then add another ounce under pressure and then empty it out, and check the amount it will hold with out adding pressure... maybe two ounces....

You see, if you have been stretched out, as this balloon has been, and you are back to only seeking the Lord one hour twice a week after being stretched, you will feel a bit empty. Even just the one ounce filling it each time will tend to stretch the balloon some, not much; but pretty soon, there will be a noticeable lacking of fluid in it.... The same goes with our lives...

If a person stops seeking more coming in, their soul will feel like it is loosing, but in all actuality, it is actually being stretched and there is a need to fill it more....

This is the way the Spirit of the Lord works. We get saved, and we are filled with an ounce. After a while that same ounce no longer satisfies us, so then we seek more, and two ounces fill us, and then three and four and pretty soon even a gallon will not satisfy us in the Lord.... We may even receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and then wonder what happened... the baptism of the Holy Spirit wouldbe like trying to force 2 gallons in a space that only 2 ounces had previously fillled up... after that, our spirit needs to make up and fill the rest of that space that was stretched out, so we need to spend more time in the Lord, in His word and in His presence... now, after a while thou, that same 2 gallons that sent us for that wonderful experience with the Lord is no longer satisfying, and we try to get the same results with 2 gallons or less, sorry, but that wont happen, we have to have more to have the same feeling, that does not mean the Lord has left us, but means that we are drawing closer and need more to satisfy our hunger....

My suggestion is if you are feeling as if the Lord is no longer with you, or has stepped away from you, then we need to look at where we are in relationship to Him, for God has not left us, it is us that push away, and leave God.

What the thoughts are that you are having about it, could be satan, (or one of his workers) trying to deceive you into thinking you are not really with God and that God has left you... rebuke these thoughts, and dont voice them, satan can not read your mind, neither can his demons. The only way they know what you are thinking is if you tell them.... Just as Samson was tricked, into telling what the secret of his strength was, we are being tricked into telling our weaknesses....

Do not allow yourself to be tricked into divulging your weakness; voice your strength, not your weakness.... Only an enemy wants to know your weakness, a friend wants to know your strength, so they know where you can be used.

A true friend will not want to know your weakness.... (Other then God, and we need to give our weakness to God to handle, then we will no longer have a weakness that would be of any use to an enemy.

Hey, wait a mo......thought God NEVER changed, and it was US that always moved...not GOD!!!!!!!

By hardened, do you mean being afraid to be open, to be honost?

No, I mean hardened to really undescrible thoughts.......horrible blasphemous thoughts.......thoughts I'd USUALLY cringe at.....

Think you can try that?

I'll try........

.

I'm not sure I understand, but do you mean a struggle with sin?

I mean a stuggle to keep them out.......

Hope that helps!

Thanks Neb....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
