I almost had a friend....

I once nearly had a friend, and we were really nice to each other............then another girl came..........she didn't really pay much attention to me.

Yes, ok.....she smiled......and said some things......but really tried to impress the new girl.

I feel sad.

Not resentment.

YET.

But..........

She kind of leaves me out.........out now:(

I am a bit confused.. are you seraching for a friend to date, or are you just looking for a friend?

A friend at an First Aid Group.

I was really friendly with her.

Just as a friend.

Not anything else.

(I'm a girl, BTW)

Now she seems to ignore me with this new girl that's turned up.

I know how it feels.

I wish there was a way I could tell you to "fix" the situation; but I can't.

I can only encourage you in what I learned to do . . . and that's to just cry on the Lord's shoulder.

I think I will eventually.

But what after the tears?

I distinctly remember one time specifically where I was crying to the Lord in my loneliness, and as I lay in my bed trying to cry myself to sleep, the Lord put a song in my head - a song I could tell was Him singing this to me:

When you're up against the wall

I'll always be here for you . . . .

I found comfort in this.

It felt good knowing the Lord heard my cry and responded!

Don't just cry your sorrow, Yomo, but truly throw yourself on the Lord in your sorrow.

You'll find Him.

I never found the friends I was looking for.

But I have been learning to find my contentment in Jesus. In the end, that's what matters anyway.

I didn't want loneliness, either. But what if I had friends and lost the Lord?

It's a hard road to travel, I know. I have to keep trusting in the Lord that He has a reason and a plan for this.

Amen nebula... just to add one small thing.

The Lord had just pulled me through a terrible 6 year friendship and then i met somebody who became my comfort and my strength. I wish i could explain more, but something happened shortly after becuase i wasn't relying on God and i was going behind my parents backs... anyways.. after that.. i started crying to the Lord everynight... i wanted a friend that i could confide in.. a friend that woudl be there forever.. I found that the Lord is my best friend.. he knows my thoughts, my wants and desires and he knows my needs.. he is always there and will never leave me no matter how far away i run..

Well, after i learned that and started trusting him more and knew that he woudl always be my very best friend.. he gave me an "earthly" friend.. well, more like a brother in the Lord.. he is a friend that i hold dear to me.. the Lord will always be my very best friend.. but he finally gave me one that is willing to follwo the Lord wholly... I like him a lot and i pray that God would show me if there will be a future.. anyways..

Anyways, i say this all to say, just trust the Lord, stay close to him, and God will give you a friend... it is all his timing.. until that point.. remember that the Lord should be your very best friend..
