Jacob stole his brothers blessing, but look at what he went through because of that choice. He wrestled with a angel that displaced his hip, he had to beg for his brother Esau's forgiveness and keep giving him gifts. His children were rebellious, etc. He fixed everything over time, but everything left a mark on Israel the person and as a nation.
