Let us NOT cherry pick the odd verse to try to affirm 'predestination' and all that nonsense. Yahweh created us as intelligent free beings like Himself with FREE CHOICE...

According to the Bible, rather, we are clay in the hands of a sovereign Potter.

An allegory that does not remove our free will. If we DECIDE to be His clay, then we ask Him to mold us.

Stop with the predestination silliness. It just does not wash. Yes He is sovereign, and in His Sovereign will He came to earth as a man and died for sinners. It is up to us to chose Him or not. Sure he draws us to Him, and you would be quite mad not to accept that Sacrifice. But there are (obviously) those that refuse His FREE GIFT of Salvation.

To suppose, as some Calvinists do, that God preordained some to salvation and other to hell is just NOT the character of The Most High God.

Proverbs 16:4 :

The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Proverbs 21:1:

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Proverbs 20:24:

Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?

Ecclesiastes 7:13:

Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?

Jeremiah 10:23:

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Joshua 11:20:

For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Psalm 105:25:

He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtly with his servants.

1 Peter 2:8:

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Jude 1:4:

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 63:17:

O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, {10} And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: {12} That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Revelation 17:16-17:

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. {17} For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

God does not love those He will send to hell for all eternity (see also Psalm 5:5, Proverbs 16:4). He does love those He chose before the foundation of the world in Christ to be holy and without blame before Him in love. Now that's love! It's a love that doesn't fail, but will surely save each and every one of its particular objects. As He says, His word will not return to Him void.

Isaiah 55:11:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Psalm 5:5
You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong. You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD abhors.

Bible Gateway Psalm 5 :: NIV - MIT

New International Version proverbs 16:4
The LORD works out everything to its proper end-- even the wicked for a day of disaster.

He chose before the foundation of the world in Christ to be holy and without blame before Him in love.

With statement Peter is Judging the Jews who were still in the Law believing that they still had forgiveness of sins with the sacrifices in the Temple...as the Temple was not yet destroyed and the unbelieving Jews had continued in the worship according to the Covenant who had passed away...

Peter is telling them that they are in their sins....that they are not in holiness according to God the Father...and to the Christ of God this is Jesus Christ...

Because God had a plan to represent us Holy unto him IN CHRIST JESUS...God gave them the Law and the Atonement for their sins to be Holy unto him till the coming of Jesus Christ....

He had in planning that the Holiness through the Law will pass away..

And the Jews who refused to believe in Jesus Christ are only holy in their own mind   but with God they are not...

God accepts only those who believe in Jesus Christ...

God accepts the righteousness and holiness of Jesus Christ and only those who come in his name.

It is a simple statement with the coming of the righteousness in Jesus Christ God the Heavenly Father will have children...no one without the righteousness of Jesus Christ will see the Father....

This is easily understood that through faith in Jesus Christ we go to Heaven where the Heavenly Father and our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ is. .

The reference to Psalm 5:5

The psalmist who was under the Sinai Covenant and the Sacrificial system of the Law of Moses way back before the Cross is telling first hand not only because those things were written in the books of the Law...

And were known to the Priest who kept them selves Holy as to be able to do the worship in the Holy place....

From the set up in the Temple we understand that the Lord was Holy and punished every unholy man in the Temple even the sons of Aaron who offered a strange fire....even the princess of Israel who being not priests and on their own offered fire unto the Lord and all died....

The proverbs reference is telling us that they are all kinds of people on earth even amongst israel it self...

And the Lord by removing his protection or the people remove them selves from the protection of the Lord because of sins ....their neighbors who were stronger enslaved Israel...

These are things of the old....in the new Jesus went to the sinners he loved the sinners...he gave them comfort he healed the sinners ...the lost sheep of Israel and forgave their Sins because he was their God in the flesh....

Jesus gave us a parable which it was not in the customs of the Law on the old COVENANT...

He gave us this parable to understand something a lot of things that are in the new Covenant....

First of all...he acknowledge the right of his younger son to exercise his will to decide for himself what he wants to do about his life ahead..

He could refused to give him his Inheritance...

But he respected the right of his son to asked for it....he would advice him...of course. ..

The elder chose his own way...and the younger his own....

He let them make their own decisions....

Not every Father will do that....

But we must pay attention that in the story of Jesus the Father did that....

We see hear something of the heart of Jesus in this parable....Jesus is the Father in this story and he does not impose his will on anyone....

He even say another time...to the Jews...who refused to believe in him....that God will not impose his will upon you to make you believe...and God could do that by granting their wish and have Jesus do the miraculous things they were asking so they would believe....

Instant Jesus let them decide for them selves...and he warned them that God will not remain childless if they refuse to believe...as he had a plan to saved the Gentiles...Jesus said that God is able to make children out of these stones not anymore out of the seed of Abraham...their black mailed to God finished with the Cross....their monopoly finished on the Cross of Jesus Christ...

Jesus gave everyone to make their own decisions...

That's why Joshua said....

Me and my house have chosen to serve the Lord....

So you do not believe in Jesus Christ out of your own understanding and free volition even out of fear for  not going to Hell....

You believe that God has made this decision for you....it someone else has made this decision for you....

This is not a Salvation issue and do not make it one...you are still saved even though you say you believe but not out of your own free will...

If what you say it could be remotely truth...

Then how Jesus can be the Judge and Judge someone who has not believed in him to Hell for eternity...

If it was not the person's own decision out of his own free will...and inspite of the repeated attempts by the Holy Spirit to help him choose faith in JesusChrist....

As we see it clearly on the case of Paul who put a strong resistance to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in his atemp to help him believe before his conversion...

Heb 3:2 says it all. Study it well.

12 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.…

The 'SIN' is that of unbelief and turning back to the Judaic system of sacrifice.. that puts to death Christ anew and angers the Spirit.

We can chose BELIEVING LOYALTY, like Naaman and the Widow of Zarephath, or like those in the Colossian/Hebrew churches, we can turn back to the old system or gods we know not or no gods at all. It is up to us.

Never let ANYONE tell you that God chose some to destruction. This is a horrible and pernicious and demonic lie.

I am always bemused by those that try to support any weird doctrine by cherry picking Tanakh verses out of context.

Yet those same people worship on the RCC chosen days and IGNORE the many Sabbath references in the Tanakh that God repeatedly says we are to honor.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
