How could we leave out HEY, MR TAMBOURINE MAN?

Done blandly by Bob, covered so well by the Byrds.

Bland? Bob Dylan bland?

Dylan did blandly?

How could you say such a blasphemous statement?

How dare you!

Well! I never heard such an atrocity! :foot-stomp:

Nah! Just kidding, bro! 1043403981_slaphappysmiley.gif.92c48f1a91257ab9b69942d14344f326.gif

Of course the Byrds did Bob Dylan's tunes justice!

I'm a huge Byrds fan!

Now get right over here and I gives ya a big 0l' hug! :bighug2:

Surprisingly, as big of a George Harrison fan I always have been, I never caught much of the film nor did I purchase the Bangladesh box set of LPs. All Things Must Pass and others, but not this one. I didn't even care for the title track. All the backing guest musicians I admire though. Leon Russell etc. Maybe Ringo had a bit much to imbibe. This was years before sobriety. Ringo is on top of things now. Even with The Beatles he never missed a beat.

And if that jacket is the same one Joan Baez complained about that Bob would never get rid of, even though it had puke-stains that would not come out

Did you know Bob based this on an existing poem/song?

Lord Randall (written by unknown author from  the century )

"Oh where ha'e ye been, Lord Randall my son?
O where ha'e ye been, my handsome young man?"
"I ha'e been to the wild wood: mother, make my bed soon,
For I’m weary wi' hunting, and fain wald lie down."

"Where gat ye your dinner, Lord Randall my son?
Where gat ye your dinner, my handsome young man?"
"I dined wi' my true love; mother, make my bed
soon,      For I'm weary wi' hunting, and fain wald lie down."

"What gat ye to your dinner, Lord Randall my son?
What gat ye to your dinner, my handsome young man?"
"I gat eels boiled in broo: mother, make my bed soon,
For I'm weary wi' hunting, and fain wald lie down."

"What became of your bloodhounds, Lord Randall my son?
What became of your bloodhounds, my handsome young man?"
"O they swelled and they died: mother, make my bed soon,
for I'm weary wi' hunting, and fain wald lie down."

"O I fear ye are poisoned, Lord Randall my son!
O I fear ye are poisoned, my handsome young man!"
"O yes, I am poisoned: mother, make my bed soon,
For I'm sick at the heart, and I fain wald lie down."
