But here's why I think so. Song of Solomon 8:6-7:

⁶ Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

⁷ Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

 

Holy Spirit baptism is a sealing (2 Cor 1:21-22, Eph 1:13-14). It's a baptism of fire because we are baptized in God's unquenchable love, in His burning jealousy (Deut 4:24, Prov 6:27-35).

Also, Matthew 11:12:

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

When Jesus returns, He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God (1 Cor 15:24). And we are "translated" into the kingdom (Col 1:13), like how God took Enoch (Gen 5:24, Heb 11:5). I believe Jesus is saying in that verse, that our persons are taken by force. The Lord is a Man of war (Exo 15:3). This is the love of God that's revealed to us, that He has sealed us up and forgiven all our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ and now possesses us permanently in His love and jealousy!

Jesus referred to his "judgement" on the cross as a baptism, did he not (Luke 12:50)?

Baptism of judgment / fire.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (AV)
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Fire in the Bible refers to testing / judgment / damnation.

John the Baptist juxtaposed his water baptism to that of the Messiah on who hinges the eternal destiny of man by either

belief or unbelief.

John 3:18 (AV)
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Matthew 3:11 (AV)
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

1. water baptism 

2. Holy Spirit Baptism

3. Judgment / Damnation baptism by fire (Luke 16: 24  / Revelation 20:10-15)

Yes; even so, I think the baptism of fire is as I described it. Another verse to think about, we're told not to quench the Holy Spirit, 1 Thess 5:19, which again compares the Spirit to fire.
