The great opposer to Jesus

Do you believe that Messiah the Prince in Daniel 9:25 is Jesus?

Jesus is the Christ the King of Israel - coming in the name of the Lord.   (Mark 15:31-32, you will find "Christ the King of Israel" )

The prince who shall come will be the Anti-Christ,  the King of Israel coming in his own name.

The concept is simple when you think about it.    Jesus is the rightful King of Israel, the One who God sent to be their King - but they rejected him, although he came in the name of the Lord.

The Anti-Christ is someone the Jews will embrace as the King of Israel, in error, who comes in his own name.      A way of saying God did not send that person to be their King.

Then all we have to do is figure from scripture of where he comes from, how he gets into that position, and how later becomes the beast in Revelation.

"whore of Babylon" is a concocted term, not a biblical term. 

The scarlet colored beast in Revelation 17 is Satan.    Babylon the Great is the mystical kingdom of Satan and his third of the angels.

The great whore, influenced by that kingdom, is the RCC, specifically the Vatican located in Rome.    Which is not led by the little horn person.

The person as the little horn, is one stage of the great opposer to Jesus in the end times.   Below is the walk-through of each of the stages.

In the middle of the 7 years, the person transgresses the Mt. Sinai covenant by claiming to be God.   Revealing himself to be the man of sin, and not the messiah after all.   The Jews reject him from continuing as their King of Israel, ending his time as the Antichrist.

After the revealed man of sin is killed and brought back to life, he is the beast for the remainder of the 7 years.     The ten EU leaders hand their kingdom over to him to be dictator, King of the Roman empire in the end times.

Looking at the entire chapter we are told that Mystery Babylon is indeed the Great Whore. Chapter 17 also tells us that the Whore is a city.

 

1	And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2	With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3	So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

The woman has that inscription on her forehead - of who she is affiliated with.    Not that she herself is Mystery, Babylon the Great.

Similar to people who will take the name of the beast in their forehead.      They affiliate themselves with the beast.   But they themselves are not the beast.

The scripture says that the woman is a city that rides the beast. I agree that the woman/city is affiliated with Satan. She is riding Satan which I believe means that it is Satan who gives her power.

She sits on many waters which means she has influence in many places.

My reasoning is that in Revelation 18, Babylon is fallen is fallen, and it goes on to describe a powerful, but wicked, trading city that quickly meets its demise.     Because there is no actual physical city that meets the description of "in her was found the blood of the prophets, of the saints, and of all that were slain on the earth" in verse 24 - I concluded that the city was an allegory of how quickly Satan's mystery kingdom of Babylon the Great will come to its end.

In Revelation 12:7-9, Satan and his angels will be cast down to earth from the second heaven (implied) and will have only a time/times/half time left.   Cast down to earth is the fallen is fallen in Revelation 18.

So what I conclude from that is God begins dismantling Satan and his angels' kingdom at that point beginning at the middle of the 7 years- taking away their influence they have had over the earth ever since the time Cain slew Abel.      And completing the destruction when Jesus returns and binds up Satan and he is cast into the bottomless pit.

So all of those things fit with the RCC and mainly the leadership of the Vatican which makes the doctrines and edicts - some of which resulted in the deaths of countless saints and Christians over the long course of time.

And which the kings of the earth for political gain accommodate the Vatican, especially the Europeans.    Even though behind the scenes they may have actually hated having to do so.

So when the person becomes the beast, and the conditions are to worship him in opposition to Jesus, the EU leaders will destroy the Vatican as having something to no longer to deal with.   Burn the Vatican to the ground.    And disband the organization by imprisonment, execution, or by renouncement.

Thanks for answering, I wanted to see where you were coming from. I disagree that verse 6 refers to the RCC. Jesus himself told us which city killed the saints and prophets. Jesus said that he came for the Jews.

During our time many Jews are coming to Christ and the great commission is being fulfilled. God, in his goodness allowed us gentiles to join the family as well. The jewish leaders of Christ's time did all they could to stop Christ's mission, but he defeated his enemies on the cross and by ressurection. The city being destroyed is where the apostate leaders had the saints and prophets killed. They even sought the death of Christ.
