1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Christ revealed the mystery to Paul, which is the body of Christ. The body of Christ was formed to reconcile the heavenly places (Colossians 1:20). This mystery was not made known to anyone before Paul, nor can it be found anywhere in the law and the prophets in scripture.

If those of the world had known this, they would not have crucified the Lord Jesus.

Peter and the disciples could not have known this mystery and therefore could not have preached the body of Christ, nor be members of it. They preached the gospel of the kingdom to Israel (the Davidic kingdom on earth...Matthew 4:23) and the name of Jesus (Acts 10:43).

The mystery of God’s will is that “which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ” (Ephesians 1:9–10; cf. 1 Corinthians 2:7; Revelation 2:7). The mystery of God is the consummation of God’s plan in bringing His kingdom in Christ to fulfillment. The kingdom had long been prophesied, but the how and the when and the by whom was not clear until the time of Christ. It is in Christ that God has been manifested to all of mankind. As Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9).

The mystery is that Christ lives in the believer...in my opinion. It's also my opinion that all apostles at some point, became aware of the mystery.

The mystery is "Christ in you, the hope of glory" ( Col.1:27). That is a mystery,  since at times it doesn't necessarily " feel" that way.

Yes that is indeed one of the mysteries revealed to Paul.

Our believing what God says is not based on our feelings...we are persuaded it is true..we reckon it to be true

Yes. I believe that right before our Lord comes, all true believers will have confirmation in their spirit.

Not sure what that means....we have the witness by the word of God in regards to assurance of truth 1 John 5:10 Romans 8:16

Yes I believe that the Holy Spirit will give us "awareness" of Christ's coming so that day will not overtake us as a " thief "          (1 Thess.5:4).

" And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh"              ( Luke 21: 28).

Israel will face the tribulation, the body of Christ will be taken up before this 1 Thessalonians 4:17

There is no scripture that would even suggest multiple "comings " of the Lord.

First coming in the air:

1 Thessalonians 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Second coming on earth:

Zechariah  14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be  a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Also, could you please provide scripture that specifically states that the nation of Israel will go through a period of tribulation while Christians are not here?

I do not know of one such verse.

The tribulation is the pouring out of wrath Revelation 6:17. We are not appointed to wrath 1 Thessalonians 5:9

So what's the point of being a Christian? Are we not supposed to be much needed at that time? Spreading the gospel?

We are to be ambassadors for Christ and give the word of reconciliation 2 Corinthians 5:19-21

I agree with You!

The "Will" of God is indeed a mystery to us human beings.   We can believe we are in His Will while good things are taking place in our life and it can merely just be the "Blessings" of our Faith in God opening such treasures.

I know for myself, it took a very long portion of my life to understand how to submit to God's will.  Things just continued in a series of circles and I might get slightly ahead but eventually ended up nowhere.   I was listening to a Pastor (Tony Edwards) on my Christian Radio station discussing the "Lord's Prayer" and the meaning of being in God's Will via this prayer.   Something finally clicked.   I had been prophesied over to hold several positions in the Church I had attended but none of it came to pass (I was still in my own "will").   After listening to Dr. Tony Edwards, I finally said to God, "Not my will but Your Will be done."   I kept repeating this throughout the day because I wanted it to settle into my way of thinking.  I am still saying it many times throughout the day.

Anyways, one morning I was driving to work and I was saying to God, not my will Lord, but Your Will be done.   And I felt like I was making a real connection this time.   Like I knew I meant it for real and God heard me.   After lunch break, my supervisor came up to me and said, we have to let you go.   On my way home, I kept thinking if this was God's Will then something incredible must be going to happen.   The next day, a dear friend of mine was walking her dog and the dog just ran fast and yanked her over and she sprained her ankle so bad it was similar to a break.   God told me I had time to help her and minister to her.  Suddenly people who once went to my Dad for Spiritual advice was now calling me.   And I am currently in limbo waiting to see where God leads me next.

But the point is, had I not surrendered to God, those people who needed someone to talk to would not have had the chance because I would be on my job doing my own will.

I think the real "Mystery" of God and His Will is finally learning to understand how to get self out of the way.   And that is most difficult when things seem to be good and you think that is God and His Will for you.

I've seen on some Faith based forums where members have no idea of God's Will and they slam every idea, thought, suggestion that disagrees with their position.   I pray that is not here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
