But that was in the time of Joseph. The Bible is complete now. We do not have to rely on dreams.

I disagree. I have had occasions where I would see things in a dream and tomorrow the exact thing happens. In addition to that the God of Joseph is our God and his spirit is also with us and if you believe that because the bible is complete God cannot speak through dreams or visions then are there no more prophets today?

Yes I see what you mean...like get ready...I am at the door! I'm really concerned with how things are going to go with this new administration.  I believe our 1st and 2nd Amendment are in grave danger.

Yes! I'm with you on that. I also accept the fact that what must come to pass shall come to pass and rest upon God's words as Mike mentioned in God we hope in him we trust.

I don't believe so FatherGoose the faces that I saw were some of those from the churches where I am from. Not to mention a large bed placed inside the church itself.

It's really about where your foundation lies... either the Word totally that comes with this promise
2 Tim 3:15-17

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
KJV
or Scripture plus but then you have no assurance of the promise as God is quite clear in how His Word is the sole foundation and nothing else...

If we're sleeping then I should ask, what do we need to do in order to wake up?

Here are a few ideas:

What the church has lost is the vision of spiritual discernment. The scriptures have been strip-mined of the major parts of reality. The unseen! We have this silly 'Paradise Lost' idea of Milton's and overlook deliberately what the early church viewed as most important. In second temple literature there are only about four passages about man's fall. All the rest focus completely on the Gen 6 events. This is where holy ones 'left their first estate' and came to earth on Mt Hermon and corrupted humanity. They taught all kinds of terrible things to mankind so they could pollute the line of Yeshua and hasten our destruction.

Then came Babel after the deluge and they continued the ungodly ideas of pre-flood times.

If we do not have a Deut 32 worldview and a Divine Council worldview, we will miss most of what the later NT writers were talking about. The Tanakh does not mention the fall as being the basis of accelerated evil in the world. Yet today that is all you hear about.

This shortsighted view has been passed down thru the ages so that today we are quite blind to the reality of spiritual wickedness.

But Yeshua put to rights all of this. a) the fall, b) the scattering at Babel and c) the angelic wickedness.

Thus the deck is stacked against us. If it were not for Yeshua and His Cross, we would be lost. The regathering of the nations began at Pentecost and continues today because the enemy has had his previous mandate rescinded by the Cross and his weapons are nullified.

The enemies have been disarmed as the apostle said. "Had they but known, they never would have killed the King of Glory". God outfoxes them at every turn and plays the long game. "We are more than conquerors".

OK...but practically speaking, what should we do?

Study, study and study more. We have a wealth of information resources as never before. Begin with the Tanakh and see how the NT repurposes much of it. Read what the apostles read and Yeshua. Get informed by your mind fitly exposed to TRUTH. Do not trust any man, but rather the Spirit. He will lead you in that endeavor. Focus on the supernatural aspects that are timeless and get a good 'feel' for what the Lord is always telling His people. Throw of the shackles of man's doctrines and devote yourself to The Lord High God. He will bring people to you. It is the way He Works. Line upon line, precept upon precept. Here a little there a little. You will hear a voice behind you saying, this is the Way, walk ye in it.

Study, study and yet more study. Be approved by the Lord our God.

My brother In Christ, my point is not to rely on dreams alone. My point is that God is able to send a message through any means he wants. Lets be logical about this, do you think a person preaching the word of God only opens the bible every time and automatically he gets a sermon?...Yes holy spirit will direct him to where he must speak but inside of his sermon you'll hear some example of what relates to the passage. Yes we read the word of God but any good sermon comes with examples of today's world. Jesus himself spoke in parables. To be more clear what I am saying is God can use anything to convey a message now to understand the message we use his word to relate to what is being said.

I personally look only to His Word because that is what I will give an account to when I stand before The Lord:
John 12:47-50
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
KJV

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
