I even remember a song many years ago on one of Charlie Daniels christian albums that said in a future year (now past) something like: "Owning the bible is against the law and if you want to praise Jesus, you got to find a place to hide." Not sure of his doctrinal viewpoint, but that was the general consensus of the christians I knew of what the future would be. Not in the great tribulation. Rev 2:10 I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. But those who endure will be saved from the coming great tribulation. You quoted Rev 2 and 3. What is your belief about the letters to the seven churches in Revelation? Are they "historical"? Are they "church ages"? Or....are they "prophetic"?
