Okay I just got married less then 3 months ago and I thank God that we love each other so much! The problem is that I love here so much that I could not stand to not be with her for eternity so I need to ask a very important question. I am so afraid I might get the answer I don

Welcome foxstar.

Your wife is a gift from the Lord. She is a special gift to you, one you should treasure for as long as the Lord wills you to be together. I understand your fears regarding her illness. Do not worry. Is not everything in His hands?

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows.

What happens when we both are dead? Are we going to be in heaven together? I know that we are not married in heaven but will we still have that special closeness that only a married couple have when we are in heaven as we do now? Also if that is the case then how does it work if say I died and then she got married again. I don

Marriage on earth can be a wonderful thing, yet it only the barest shadow of our relationships in heaven!

I pray the Lord will heal your wife and give her many prosperous and happy years with you.

Well that is the last thing I wanted to hear. Even if I will not have sadness by missing her when I am in heaven I will feel very much sadness during this life knowing that once she leaves this Earth I will never be with her again. The thought that we would be together again in heaven would be what could get me through life if she died and now if she dies early and way before me I will know I will never ever see her again for the rest of eternity. I am in tears right now and am trying to wipe enough away so I can see to type. This is really devastating because then I guess that means when my other family members die I will never see them ever again. That is how I get through funerals because I know I will see them later but now I am just thinking of the funerals I have been to and now knowing I will never see them again makes me sad beyond words. I pray to God that you are wrong but know that you are probably right.

Edit: Okay I am more calm now but I stil pray that is not true.

I never said you wont see her again in eternity, unless one of you is saved and the other isnt. I do beleive we will know each other in heaven. I also believe that the love of the Lord will be so intense in our lives that our love for each other as brothers and sisters will also be intensified. This is good. This is desirable.

Do you think that we will have a special bond between us or would there be lots of people that I feel just as close to because that is what I am worried about? Because then that would mean there is no such thing as a soul mate but just a life mate.

Is 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Re 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Foxstar, I don't think the Bible specifically answers your question about the future relationship of husbands and wives in the kingdom (except to say that it won't be similar to how it is now, as per the passage in Matt. 22, already posted). Those glorified will be as the angels, and all as the bride of Christ, not married one to another. In our own minds, with the love we have for our spouses, it's difficult to comprehend not actually being married in the kingdom, and yet be happy. But this is not something to grieve or worry over, as happiness is assured.

So, in as much as you can't understand how this happiness will be, simply take comfort in that as much as God is faithful to what He's promised, there is no more pain in the kingdom.

Thank you so much! God has used you to make me feel better. So should I go through with what I said about asking her for us to commit to each other even if one of us dies. I really want to do it so I basically asking if there is anything wrong with it?

In Heaven there is no hate, sorrow, dread, pain, boredom or any other negative possibility. It is all good. Enjoy your marriage now. The best is yet to come.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
