And what do you love about them?

John 15:18, ESV: "“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you."

When I see push back on Christians, I am reminded of the above verse and know it's inevitable by some.

ALSO .....

Matthew 25

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40 The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

I used to have a hard heart towards those who live on the streets. The above verses really caused me to re-think and my heart changed.  I always have my car stocked with dry clean sock, tarps, and sometimes some snacks to give out.  When I think of the above verses, I think how my heart has changed and I am grateful for that.

God is love.

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

You have not chosen me, I have chosen you.

Quote

ohn 19:25-27
But there were standing by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son!"  27 Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her into his own household.
NASB

Even on the cross, Jesus was concerned for his mother.    Somehow that makes me comfortable.

Without Question (forgive me picking two)

Isaiah 40

28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

and

Philippians 4:

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things

Psalm 91 , Matthew 6 are also go to's when I am anxious
