Here is what the Lord told me:

Psalm 1:1-3: "Blessed is the man

who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked

or stand in the way of sinners

or sit in the seat of mockers.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither.

Whatever he does prospers."

Psalm 81:8-10:

Just one last word here from me and then if any of you want to add anything else on the subject, feel free to do so:

When thinking about the two week notice thing, I have essentially given them the two weeks. Last Monday (a week ago) I gave notice to my supervisor that I could not be involved in illegal activity. She chose to lie to me, so it took me a week to research it to find out if what she was telling me was the truth. This week would round up week two of the two week notice, because last Monday I was ready to turn in my two week notice, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Last night on the phone the boss asked me that I give him the benefit of the doubt, but I've already done that and he proceeded to offer several scenarios that were all lies and I caught him in each lie which is why he finally said, "well, it's just a LITTLE illegal." That's kind of like "I cheated just a LITTLE." Isn't that one of Satan's greatest ploys to make people think if they do it just a LITTLE it is ok?

Anyway, I'm heading over there this morning to turn in my stuff to them and to retrieve my family photo. Pray all goes well. This was the Lord's word for me this morning:

Psalm 86:11: "Teach me your way, O LORD,

and I will walk in your truth;

give me an undivided heart,

that I may fear your name."

It is a great gift to hear what God is telling us and then act. You have great ears Sue, you know when God is speeking. God is at work here Sue in ways you and I may never know. Who knows this may be the start of his work on your (ex)employer. God is using you, he put you in this situation for a reason. Their world may need a little shaking and he needed some one in place that wouldn't cover it up.

God Bless,

Kansas Dad

 Good for you Sue.

About 11 years ago (wow I'm showing my age now) my Uncle wanted me to come work for him to get him out of the IRS mess he had gotten himself into...alot of it by paying his employees cash and not filing taxes at all ;) Talk about stressful...I had a headache before I even got there...it took me 6 months just to get the books going again...I and the accountant just decided to start over...I talked with the gentleman at the IRS and worked out a payment plan of the estimated taxes he'd avoided and started to pay up. I worked there for over two years, then I had to leave because I got pregnent and couldn't work there because of the paint fumes (it was a vehicle body shop)

I'm telling this because he went right back into the same practices after I left and he still owns this business to this day. So don't be surprised if this company makes it too. I don't understand how they get away with it...but boy do they sometimes. :24:

God will hold them to account for their actions. Their time will come.

When I went to return my work stuff and to turn in my time sheet, the boss asked me if I had turned them into the DOL, DOR and the IRS and I said "no." He wanted to know if I had mentioned their name or if I was just making an inquiry for my own benefit. I told him it was the latter. Then, he said he wished I had talked with him (I spoke with the VP who was my immediate supervisor who is also his live-in girlfriend) before I called all those people, but the result would have been the same. He still would have lied and I still would have checked up to see if what he was telling me was the truth. There was no apology for lying to me. He was just concerned about whether or not they were going to have to cover their tails on this one. He said he would give me a good reference and he wished me the best. I thanked him and wished them well, too (well, I said "you, too") and then I left.

There is a lady who used to work with my husband who e-mails us these daily devotionals. Here is the one for today:

"YOU MEANT EVIL AGAINST ME, BUT GOD MEANT IT FOR GOOD." GENESIS 50:20 NAS Look at Joseph

Joseph had to go through the pit and the prison to get to the palace. Let's see what we can learn from him:

(1) Develop yourself during the down times! When you suffer injustice or hardship, complaining doesn't do any good. You're not learning while you're complaining. In every experience there's a lesson. Learn it and grow stronger. When life knocks you down, just make sure it knocks you to your knees.

(2) Realize that self-promotion can never replace divine promotion. Each time Joseph tried to promote himself it worked against him. Look what happened when he asked the butler to recommend him to Pharaoh. Joseph learned the hard way that success comes from God and that we must give Him credit for it. Indeed the only advancement that matters is the kind God gives.

(3) When your dream is realized it may be different than you ever imagined. As a boy Joseph dreamed only of power for his own gain. But God had something bigger in mind, namely saving a nation. If your dream is self-created, don't expect God to get involved in it. What He has in mind will exceed your expectations, benefit others and promote His kingdom - not yours. Pray this prayer: "Lord, help me to see these difficulties as stepping stones to maturity and character. Give me the patience to wait until You open the door, for true promotion comes from You. Help me to remember that I'm blessed for one reason - to be a blessing to others. Amen."

I believe you are right. God is in control. There is a song out there on the radio (Christian) that some of the words had been going through my head the past couple of days - "He gives and takes away, He gives and takes away, Blessed be the name of the Lord."

Sue,

I'm late to the discussion but I'll offer my input.

Simply refuse to do payroll the way they want it done. You are in control here.

Explain to the owner that WHEN he is caught, he will lose his business. Something like, "Trying to save a buck today may cost you your business eventually. So you better have a different plan for retirement."

MOST every company tries to cut corners and save money. How many small buisnesses buy one version of Microsoft Office and illegally load it onto 10 computers? Should we quit when we discover that they are doing so? I don't think so. Rather, make them aware that what they are doing is wrong and will eventually lead them to their downfall; refuse to particpate in that activity. Then let them fire you IF they are dumb enough to do so.

May the Lord Bless you richly,

Wayne

Wayne,

Thanks for your input. If you read the last several posts you will see the ultimate decision I came to based upon what the Lord is showing me and based also upon the culmination of the advice offered. I agree that you can't quit every job where the company might be doing something illegal to cut corners, but I was going to be representing this company to the public, working out of my home, while they were gone on vacation, so this was more personal than just working for a company who may or may not be cutting corners to save money. This was a matter of my own personal integrity. And, it was also a decision that I believe God directed. Again, thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

What is the name of it and who sings it? Those are the only words I can remember of the song.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
