Do you ever have those days that the Lord just springs on you?  You know, the ones where you know the hand of God is moving and you can see it and feel it?

I had one of those days today with my husband in the Emergency Room!  He has suffered from severe Rheumatoid Arthritis for 50 years.  It had been manageable up until last October when his primary care provider left the area.  We are in a small town with a small medical facility where the doctors come and go.  He spoke with the RA clinic in the city 75 miles away and they did not have an opening until June 2021.  Then he spoke with a local doctor to be his primary care physician.  That appointment was set for April 2021.  Meanwhile his RA drug prescriptions expired and he was out of medication.  October 2019 until today no medication. Today he could not move because the infection in his joints was so severe.  We slowly loaded him in the car and went to the hospital ER right next to the Rheumatology clinic he would going to in June. I should mention that last weekend I had called a friend who had been in the medical field for many years but had retired.  I told him the story and that we could not get anyone locally to give my husband the care and medicine he needed.  His advice was to take him to ER in the city where they would give him the care he needed! I believe that was a message from the Lord to prepare us for what took place today!

We notified family and friends of our plans and they all began praying.  As the day progressed we spent several hours waiting for our turn with 30 to 50 other people.  We got to share the Lord with several there.  We got into an exam room with nurses and doctors.  We got to share the Lord there.  We spoke with many family and friends throughout the day.  We got to share the Lord.  The ER doctor prescribed medication that would hold my husband over until we could make it back to the city for the RA appointment which was bumped up from June to March at the insistence of the ER doctor!  Hubby will see a specialist to get everything back on track for his RA treatment.  All it took was an Emergency Room visit 75 miles away and 12 hours of time and the faith to believe that all things work for good for those who love the Lord! Oh, and patience too!

The power of prayer and faith of those who love you, are one of the greatest blessing we can ever experience in this life.  Thanks for letting me share. Now share your praise report for the day! :group-hug:If you don't have a praise report today we can pray for you!

God works all things, to see His hand, a blessing indeed...

Thanks for sharing your blessing of Him with us.. :)

A fellow believer, Not me

Reading about your day has been the most wonderful blessing and it lifts my spirit with yours. I need that right now, sister. You encourage me so I'll share what burdens my heart on this night.

The Lord gave me strength to share some of my testimony here on Worthy, and I'm astonished that I made it as far as I did. These aren't things I share with others and before I committed this to writing, my brother in Christ was the only one who knew. I've been silent for years and Christ moves me to break that silence. Even after all this time I've been walking with the Lord, I suffer from PTSD related to what came to pass in that desolate place in the middle of nowhere.

I was under the impression that the cycle of memories were over, but something happened three nights ago which unleashed a torrent. A woman was shot on the street below the balcony of my apartment while I slept, and when I learned about what had befallen this poor soul the next day I started weeping for her. Then came the silence... followed by memories of sleepless nights standing watch over Becky while she slept, waiting for those men who had done unspeakable things to her to come under cover of darkness.

This was when I believed I had failed the Lord and He despised me. I knew I was a dead man, so the best I could hope for was to offer my dear friend the chance to live and see another day. Preserving her life became my reason for being and this kept me going beyond the limits of my endurance all winter long. Those men promised to kill her that winter and so I vowed to take her place. She would escape and live.

Falling asleep during the vigil was one of my greatest fears. If I fell asleep they would surely come and I would be too late to stop them. When I learned about what happened to this poor woman, she became Becky... I failed her because I fell asleep on my watch.

I will endure for the Lord comforts me, but until my race is over I must live with memories that never die.

@Marathoner I have read several of your testimonies shared here and have marveled that through it all you have remained faithful.  Maybe in some of those times you were not so faithful and felt alone but your spirit held strong while your mind and body saw and felt all of the turmoil.  Almost every one of us have a story or many stories to tell of how we were protected, preserved, and stood firm, during the trial.  Almost every one of us have a story or stories of how we failed and crumbled into a little ball just wanting to die and get it over with.  During my failures in life I hear the Lord whisper, "Forgive her Father for she know not what she is doing."  In my triumphs in life I hear the Lord whisper, "This is my daughter who is one of my children and one of the chosen."  I must admit there have been, and still are, times that I am not obedient. My race continues, as does yours, and each one who follow Him.

Many, many years ago when I gave my life to Christ I determined that nothing on earth was mine.  My children, my grandchildren, all of my possessions, everything, belonged to God.  Releasing sometimes is hard, but for me releasing is better than worrying.  What you did for your friend Becky is so Christ-like.  So unselfish, kind and loving.  You have a good Samaritan story.  Though you have had fear during your caretaker years it appears you did your very best to help another in need.  You gave your life to save another.

Please don't beat yourself up over not being Superman!  He is fiction while you are not.  Always remember the angels of the Lord are around you fighting the invisible battles while you are fighting the earthly battles.  The evil one will always try to get a claw in us when we have doubts and fears but we are protected by our armor and the claws cannot dig in.  Even those of us who have walked solidly with Jesus for decades will have an attack from the devil from time to time.  The test is how fast, how swift, how strong we are to beat him back with a huge stick in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior.  Keep your armor polished and on each day and know that you are the son of the Most High God!  No weapon formed against you shall prosper!  Be brave, be strong, for the Lord thy God is with thee!  (I love that song!) You are in my prayers for an added measure of peace and reassurance that Jesus and His heavenly host have you surrounded with love and protection each moment of every day that you walk this earth!  Rejoice!  Sing praise! You belong to the Creator of All!  I AM calls you son!

I'm grateful for the words and the prayer, @debrakay. The Lord comforts me because after winter gave way to Spring, Becky was still alive. Once the immediate danger to her life passed, I fell to pieces. No, I'm definitely not Superman. I was broken in ways I couldn't comprehend and because I was ignorant of our Father's hand, I had no way of knowing that the fiery trial was coming to an end.

I'm comforted because she's with the Lord. God delivered Becky with a mighty hand so her final years were spent in peace. Christ blessed me with the honor of standing as her son, so I might honor Becky in the manner I would have rendered to my own mother of the flesh who disowned me. These are how the memories end, when the Spirit reminds me of those things reserved in secret before He came to me at the end of the trial. The Lord is merciful and good to us all. :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
