The thing also I think it is important to remember, many televangalists cannot be considered actual Churches. They are programs, businesses, shows and "ministries" some do have a home Church, but many are just a show or a tv program. They certainly don

4. Where in the bible does it say. Jesus became one with satan and went to hell for three days and then rose again ?

What The??What kind of church are you attending? Jesus didnt go to hell, he went into the wilderness and was tempted by satan for 40 days

MATT 4:1 'Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.'

and he rose again after he died on the cross. Which you will find at the end of each of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

5. Where does it say that we become "like God" when we are born again.. I really only found in Gensis where satan told Eve.. that she will be "like God" if she ate the fruit and sinned.. .. it didnt say that Adam was already created "like God" just in his image.. is there something I am missing?

your not missing anything. Were created in his image definately, thats right. We arent like God in character but we are to strive to be Christ-like.

Ephesians 5:1 'Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.'

(there are more than just one scripture for all these things, but if you use a concordance you will see them for yourself.)

6. Where in the bible does it say that if I make a "sacrificial love gift" to a big ministry all my debt will be wiped out and I'll never have any more troubles?

It doesn't. U must be going to one of those greedy, money hungry, focused only on the size of there Church, churches. Find yourself a new church.

As far as Benny Hinn is concerned. He used to be a very annointed man. His healing ministry was authentic, i have been to one, and his teachings were solid and backed up by scripture. U listen to his tapes 'the Tabernacle' or 'heart of the Holy Spirit' or read his book "Good morning Holy Spirit" He definately had an anointing. Ive learned so so much from him. Its a shame hes lost it. He's dropped his calling. So instead of us all sooking and gossiping about him we should do what Jesus would do and interceed for him, pray that he will go back to his calling and leave the mammon. Because he used to be an excellent teacher and its such a waste.

Well, all this talking regarding false ministers reminds me of Oral Roberts.

A few years ago he said he'd spoken with God. And that he was told by God that if he didn't raise, I don't recall the exact amount, but it was in the millions- by a certain date, that God would come and take him home [meaning he would die].

That was an amazing statement! And proved where his heart really was- In $$$ and not in your salvation.

3. The taking over of you by the Holy Spirit to do "odd" things out of your own control.. .. and they call it.. the Holy Spirit coming upon you.. or a move of God .. like dancing or laughing or jumping or whatever..it may be ... apparently there is no limits to what the Holy Spirit can "make" you do once it takes you over..  This actually sounds pretty scary to me.. I can't find it in the bible...  or am I just misunderstanding what they mean.. because

I have danced around my own kitchen before praising the Lord in complete joy and love.. and I have also been brought to my knees in repentance or in great awe.... but I certainly had control.. is this what they mean by being taken over by the spirit? (opinions welcome on this one)

What you're speaking of here is POSSESSION. Demons AND NOT the Holy Spirit possesses.

We are told in scripture THAT WE are in control of every spiritual endowed gift and not the other way around:

1Co 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

1Co 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

I can just imagine everyone in the Church of Corinth wanting to stand up and speak in their "so-called" tongues at the same time as if out-of-control- or if they just couldn't help it. So Paul had to set them straight.

I've heard that too- that they just get taken over by the spirit and lose total control until the moment has passed. That is unscriptural.

So yes- you are certainly correct- you have control. :)

Beloved brethren, false doctrines SHOULD be exposed - especially for the sake our those who are new in the faith.

Still, I am deeply concerned when our anger towards sin kindles furious attacks against those individuals who are ensnared by it.

These (prosperity preachers) should be pitied above all the rest and desperately need our prayerful intercession that they be delivered.

We must guard our OWN hearts lest we become ensnared in some form of sin ourselves. We are ALL vulnerable.

Matthew 7:2 For the way you judge others is how you will be judged -- the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure to you. (The Complete Jewish Bible)

I say this in love, as I have been humbled by my own sin. I am just so terribly aware of how each of us stumble in some form or fashion, whether it be with lust, anger or greed...we're all very, very vulnerable.

I see this often in these discussion forums. A kind of gang mentality forms amongst a group who direct their vitriol at their chosen prey. I forget what they call it in psychology. You know, for example, some people who are involved in riots plead this defense. That is, that their emotions are so caught up in the will of those about them, that they actually act contrary to their own will.

Anyway, it seems that it even happens in these types of forums. Some people who would not engage in personal attacks get caught up in the fury of the group and begin hurling their own verbal diatribes supporting or enhancing the prevailing sentiment. It also helps one to feel that they belong to a certain group though this is a separate phenomena.

But we're all learning and growing in Christ hopefully. I attended Word of Faith churches and Charismatics for many years after I got saved. And I watched a lot of TBN. But if people are attacking them, rather than expos

But if people are attacking them, rather than exposing the false teaching, that will not help people to come out of this false theology. I was once a Catholic also and it was because of a gentle-speaking evangelist, who always spoke kindly of Catholics, that helpled lead me to leave Catholicism. We can speak kindly of the people, who most have a good heart and intentions, all the while exposing the error and poison of their theology.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
