They are preparing MRNA vaccine for cancer or is this a masked genetic engineering ?

We already have the HPV vaccine which is designed to protect against certain cancers. I don't think the HPV vaccine is mRNA though.

@R. Hartono

There are many different types of cancers with many different causes. Some causes of some cancers are indeed viral.

The way I see this innovators in biotech have found a different way to do the same or similar things traditional vaccines did before.

They made it work for COVID. I am encouraged they can make it work for cancer. As someone who has had a serious cancer, it's a scary thing and you wonder if it's going to be the thing that eventually gets you. I dare say millions would line of for this one including me if necessary in the future.

I see "genetic engineering" as something leaning more in the direction of playing with DNA at the pre fetal or development stages the disclaimer being biotech has learned how to make some of our DNA respond better to threats better by coding the identification of those threats at the DNA level ( or so I'm told). This is essentially what the COVID vaccine did or does. I am not an expert in the field so I guess I don't fully understand the process.

Any technology can be used for evil or good. My main concern here is big pharma will make the medications so expensive that insurance companies will only treat a small percentage of people deemed "serious"when if prices were lower everyone could be treated. I hope pharma doesn't see this with greedy eyes as a cash cow. Probably too much for me to hope. We can see the COVID vaccine was made very fast. I don't know how much is costed to make. It apparently didn't break governments to buy it. I am hopeful for similar results with a cancer solution.

That would be wonderful if they had a vaccination for cancer. :)

Anything mRNA is gene therapy.

Why not?  But then, you don't think mRNA "vaccine" is one, right?

The vaccine nor all mRNA's change our DNA.   it just uses our DNA to create a set of antibodies.   Our DNA isn't changed from it permanently from what I read.   If it was DNA (gene) therapy it would change our DNA and both ourselves and our offspring's would create the antibodies for generations instead of a one time short time production.   I guess if one defines gene therapy as anything to do with genetics, and if so in that case I would have to agree with you.
