Is acceptable for a Christian to watch the entertainment that shows magicians conducting magic?

I think red china sounds lovely.  It would go well with my Wendy's plasticware of which I am quite fond, not to mention my Burger King napkins.

That plasticware is so good I'm wondering why people bother with the metal stuff. :)

Thanks for this info. Pretty soon they are going to bump this thread to the hobbies section :).  I remember seeing those old Lincoln tombstone stick welders at home as a youngster. They are still one of the best all round' welders out there. Maybe I will look into that more instead of the HF welder. I like that you're not looking for a little piece of wire and instead can look at the rod when welding. Are you using the old Lincoln stick or their newer welder? The only issue for me is I would need to run a 220 line to my garage. When I converted my range to gas I left the wire there for an electric range. I could run off of that breaker maybe.

I have a stick welder i bought off Harbor Freight for 300 dollars. It works good and i have no complaints, and if the leads too short i can replace the wire easy enough.. Its their mig welder that i dont like mainly because of the short torch and ground wires. I bought a used Lincoln mig welder for 250.

I just fired up the old gas forge and started forging a bottle opener. I had to stop because i need a large round punch, maybe i'll forge one of those too. This is my first bottle opener, (:

I'm not sure about such things, but I am guessing that forging is not how they make Wendy's plasticware.

No its not. That would be an injection mold for plastic.

A forge is just a thing that uses either gas, charcoal or coal to heat steel up to a forging temp. Around 1200 - 1500 degrees F, i think. It will get much hotter too

I looked at those home made forges and anvils on YouTube. It's interesting. I doubt I'll ever get serious into that because I don't have enough practical uses for it or a market for anything to make unless it was somehow horse related. Horse shoes, etc. You would have to sell a lot of bottle openers to make out financially. I know you are probably into it for the fun of it, same reason I started roasting coffee. Good luck with it. What are you using to make the bottle opener? A railroad spike? A spoon? We made beautiful rings out of spoon handles years ago.
