Is acceptable for a Christian to watch the entertainment that shows magicians conducting magic?

I looked at those home made forges and anvils on YouTube. It's interesting. I doubt I'll ever get serious into that because I don't have enough practical uses for it or a market for anything to make unless it was somehow horse related. Horse shoes, etc. You would have to sell a lot of bottle openers to make out financially. I know you are probably into it for the fun of it, same reason I started roasting coffee. Good luck with it. What are you using to make the bottle opener? A railroad spike? A spoon? We made beautiful rings out of spoon handles years ago.

I made a spoon ring once. I used a piece of 1/2 bar stock for the bottle opener. I forged it down to a flat bar, then hot chiseled a slot into the end, then punched that out with a round punch to get a round hole shape, then i forged that into more of an oval shape. The handle tapers down a little. It didn't turn out that good because i  made a mistake, but you learn from those, and i didn't have proper tooling. I need to make some tongs and punches. I could make a few bucks on bottle openers but would need to buy steel that is already close to what im making, that will save gas and labor. The less gas and labor the more money i can make.

We just got 20 new chicks. Four died in the first few days but the rest are really doing well. :)

I made a ring out of a 1964 half dollar once. Took a lot of time, but I was a teenager. It was probably a lot more productive than anything else I might have been doing. It takes a lot of light pounding...

I plan on making some ring coins too. I just need the right tools.

For me it was just a hammer. Problem is that the key is hitting it softly enough on the edge for it to spread. Hit it too hard and it bends.

Here's a basic one. I've seen much better ones depending on the spoon.

I am not familiar with coin rings.

Pretty much, only it said 1964. Drilling out the middle was the hardest part.

OK I had better skeedaddle. I have been responsible for seriously derailing a thread.

Sorry I let my mind wander too far off the subject here.
