Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It is only God's Word which is alive (quick), for it is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword

…. and Jesus tells us to go and plant seeds, sharing His gospel—His words.

Have you ever found that there are those who can't see or understand a word you say?  And when you read what they write it is nothing less than confusion?

And what does that mean 'and not presenting the Gospel to the Lost'?
Why would you say that?

Luke 19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Not trying to be a smart aleck, maybe just tired but I ve read it a bunch of times and I don't get it.  Thank you D

The people who are dead to the word are the wayside, mentioned in Mark 4.  The seed lands on them but nothing happens. In MY OPINION these are people who  have utterly abandoned God in Favor of their own Way

Much like the 10 Northern Tribes of Israel did  when they split from Judah and built their own false temple away from Jerusalem.....and after a series of corrupt and unrepentant kings, were erased as a people by God.

These old testament Scriptures that  were quoted were given to the chosen people of God back when God was actively dealing with them (some of them who would be lost). When Jesus came it was 490 years since God had uttered a word to them. So many of them, including the Pharisees were lost and the narrative had changed to forgiveness and restoration...for those with an ear to hear.

Oh and please never worry about coming back at me...I am often wrong and I need to be checked up on ;)

Hi River,
The Northern House of Israel may be scattered and not know who THEY  THEMSELVES are but God hasn't lost a single one LET ALONE ERASED.  They are being brought back together with the House of Judah.

Ezekiel 37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

Ezekiel 37:2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Ezekiel 37:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Ezekiel 37:4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

They have been dead and dry for a long time but God is rounding them back up, even as we speak there are those who have NO IDEA who they REALLY are as in of the 12 tribes scattered through out the world .

TALK ABOUT A NATURAL FEELING WHEN DRAWN  TO CHRIST.  Feels like coming home.  Makes you look at those who don't have this almost unnatural affection for Christ and wonder why?  how can they not just be obsessed with the Words of God.  How can God not be the most important thing in their life.?  And what do they feel nothing.  WHAT DO YOU THINK makes such a difference????

Look at a map of the 'whole world' back when the 12 tribes were all in their own land.  Wasn't really  a much bigger place than the land around the sea was it.

GOD blesses Abraham and  those who come from his line will be like the sands dust and stars.  SO we can guaranteeeeeeee that the seed of Abraham has the most and (probably by far) number of descendants in the world.

SO the 10 tribes are scattered to the ends of the earth.  MOST OTHER nations stayed where they have been planted.  So lets see. WHERE DID THE 10 TRIBES GO?  Starting with the outskirts of the 'then' world would be starting off in Europe, heading to Northern europe  England then crossing the oceans to Canada and the Americas and doing the same southward,  now all of the land is occupied.

SO WHO ARE OF THE SEED OF ABRAHAM?   Good at research?  There is a man who predicted the date Sweden or denmark or one of those countries would become a nation a couple years before it did.  When it actually happened, he reminded them he had told them.  Do you know what he said he used to predict the date?  The year that one of the tribes had gone into captivity and then added the punishment.

Erased, not by a long shot.  Just like Judah has a job with the Scepter, Israel has a job with the birthright.

God is going to gather us all back, and He is speaking to those dead bones daily.
 They are rising up.

Ezekiel 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

Ezekiel 37:8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

Ezekiel 37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

REMEMBER THE 144,000 of all the tribes dressed in their robes made white with the blood of the Lamb???

Ezekiel 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Ezekiel 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Ezekiel 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

Ezekiel 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

AND the graves WERE OPENED.  HOW MANY YEARS HAD THEY ALREADY BEEN SCATTERED TO THE WORLD BY THE TIME JESUS WALKED THE EARTH?  Who did Jesus say He came for?  The lost sheep of Israel.  And sure enough when ever the Gospel arrived to these 'new' lands CHRISTIAN they quickly became.  LIKE COMING HOME.  LIKE A BALL AND A GLOVE.  That same WORD went into countries that weren't settled by 'the scattered' and sure enough, they STILL, for the most part don't accept the Word of God who walked among us.  CO INCIDENCE???  Not hardly, not even a slight chance.  Perfect is the WORD OF GOD.

THIS IS STILL YET FUTURE.  We know exactly where it will be and what it will look like and where we will live and what we will be doing.

Ezekiel 37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

SUPER IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTANDING what man thinks God has forsaken but what God hasn't lost sight of, not for a second.

Ezekiel 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

Ezekiel 37:17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

The Jews and the Christians are not one yet, but we will be, we can be 100% sure.

Ezekiel 37:18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

Ezekiel 37:20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

Ezekiel 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

Ezekiel 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

Ezekiel 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

Ezekiel 37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

Not a jot or tittle.....

Ezekiel 37:25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Ezekiel 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

Ezekiel 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezekiel 37:28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

And your take on all this is...different?  I can give more examples of why I believe as I do if you would like. I am looking forward to see what scriptures are you reading that makes you think God has erased a part of His 'people'.

This is why what we read in the OT is so important.  Covenants, some could never be broken.  Some had to be broken but by us first.
That old schoolmaster, can't do much without it can we? It's like trying to get a college degree without ever having gone to High School.

Any way looking forward.  D

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
