Some people say God can do anything and is not limited by what He said He did! I would say Jesus and the rest of the bible including angels are correct in confirming creation as per Genesis. One should not try to make God a liar just to get all things including Scripture and God to conform to their scientific beliefs.

To paraphrase 1 kings 18:21 ' And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Science, then follow it'

The Creation story of Genesis was literal, and God does not lie.  He told us what He completed in less than a week.  It's just that some doubt Him because some humans claim they know better.

Science is a tool requiring observation.  Evolution theory is neither observed, nor science.

A literal reading of Genesis as a historical account has never been accepted by all Christians, nor has a figurative account been accepted by all Christians.    There never has been a consensus on this; even before YE creationism, there were Christians who did believe that Genesis 1-3 was literal history.

There's just no agreement on this issue, which has no bearing on salvation.

Nice post.   Yeah I tried for a time to reconcile man's theory with God's truth.....thinking about a gap theory and all until I read what Jesus said in Mark 10

Mark 10: 6 But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,

And I realized one of two things is the truth

1. God lied, in some grand conspiracy either because He is evil, or He thought we would never figure it out ( and that would mean his is not omniscient if we have figured out)

2. God told the truth and we are allowing ourselves to be swayed by our own pride into figuring out how it happened differently that the 6 days and speaking things into existence.  Evolution is the emperor's new clothes....if you can't see them, its because you are not "cool" and yet with a child like faith we see the truth.

Believe God, because He very clearly stated how and when he made it, with light existing before the sun moon and stars,  birds and fish being created the same day, a day before land animals, and man being created from the dust of the earth and breathed life into him

Or Believe God is a liar and take the word of men

Jesus believed in the beginning and the first created man and woman. So did everyone else in Scripture and nowhere does anyone contest that in the bible! The angels in Revelation in the end time makes the One who created the heavens and earth a primary focus in what he preaches. Jesus never scolded Moses when they met on the mountain when He was transfigure about how Genesis was all wrong! Peter was there and talked about creation after that, as was John etc. There is total agreement on this issue in the bible and with Jesus. We should care about some who profess belief that despise and fight this truth...why exactly? Some people may thing they are a different sex than they are or that they are an alien and be in a church. That does not make the disagreement with truth and reality of Scripture of no effect! It just makes many not all that close to the depths and riches of Scripture and the nature of God.

I agree. It is a bit like the old saying 'Pee or get off the pot'.

Right, and some humans get mad when we do not believe them over God. I would call that pride.

Well, let's take a look...

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created heaven, and earth. [2] And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters.

God makes it very clear what was there in the Biblical beginning, and man and woman were not there.    Jesus was speaking of the beginning of the human race.

It's not wrong at all.   You just don't accept it the way it is.

But not with Dad, it seems.   Your new interpretation is what's at fault here.

If your interpretation was obviously true, then almost all Christians would accept it.  But most Christians don't.   And that's the reality.

Obviously the part of the beginning He was referring to was day 6 when they were here. Refresh my memory, do you believe in a real Eve that was actually taken from the created man's body by God after putting Adam to sleep? Yes or no?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
