The Global Left VS God

This morning I awoke with America's coming presidential election on my mind. And I realized something -- the election isn't just between an incumbent Republican president and another Democratic hopeful, it's between the global left and God.

You see, at first I named this commentary, The Global Left VS Israel? My reason of course is because of the end-times prophecies and the recent news about the EU and the Geneva Accords. But, as I thought about it, I realized there was something much bigger going on. I realized what we're seeing is what was on my mind this morning -- the global left vs God.

Through the prophet Isaiah God said to Israel:

Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there ant God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none (Isaiah 44:8).

Here's my point: For the most part, the global left is against the God of the Bible. In fact, the entire peace process in the Middle East and the desire to create global government is built on the rejection of the Bible as God's word. This is true in Israel, and this is also true here in America. The bottom line is, the global left is now declaring war against God.

And, this coming election may decide which side American is on.

EU ponders security link with Middle East

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Foreign ministries are this evening (5 December) examining plans which could see the EU launch a major security initiative with Middle Eastern countries.

The EUobserver has learned that proposals are being considered to set up a security dialogue between the EU and countries to the "South and East of Jordan", perhaps including Iran.

Although part of a working paper called "The Strength of EU relations with the Arab world", diplomats say the term Arab may be dropped in order to ramp up the Union's policy of constructive engagement with the Islamic Republic.

"The question of Iran is part of the thinking that is going on" said one diplomat who described the options being discussed as wide-ranging.

A less ambitious option could be to expand the dialogue within the context of the EU's meetings with the Gulf Co-operation Council, according to another source.

Rocket science

"In Europe and elsewhere people have, in the past, proposed and implemented regional security dialogues as a way of building confidence, reducing underlying political tensions, creating transparency on military manoeuvres, doctrines and what have you" explained the Centre for European Reform's Steven Everts, who also backs including Iran in the initiative.

"With Saddam Hussein gone and everyone groping around for a constructive policy on Iran, now is a good time to take this forward", he said.

"The point of this idea is to signal to the Iranians that we take their security interests seriously, but that for them going nuclear is not the answer - therefore it is incumbent upon us to provide a broader set of policies".

"Some of the Iranian views on why they need nuclear weapons are paranoia and ideology, but some are built, in my view, on a justified feeling of being vulnerable".

The move may also mark the start of a more robust EU foreign policy.

"EU relationships with third countries tend to be very economics focused, it needs a good security political spin in my view for this to work", said Mr Everts.

Foreign Ministers will discuss the various proposals on Monday (8 December) at a ministerial meeting, before they are due to be formally presented to EU heads of state and government meeting later in the week.

The Solana Doctrine

As the author of a book about the rise of the man baring its name, this report about what's become know as the "Solana Doctrine" is specially intriguing (Read about it here>>>> http://www.eubusiness.com/afp/031207032234.y447tte1

It's also fascinating to think back to all the events that made this report possible. You see, for me the Solana story has been better than anything I've ever seen in a movie. And, I have a feeling the story isn't over yet.

The Solana Doctrine had its beginning with the EU's signing of the Amsterdam Treaty back in 1997. It was this treaty that set in motion the creation of the new office of High Representative of Common Foreign and Security Policy that Solana was to later occupy in 1999. His position also made Solana head of the Council Secretariat and soon after Secretary General of the 10 nation Western European Union. In other words, Solana became a very powerful new player on the world scene.

You see, Solana wasn't chosen to be a limp-wristed High Representative over a group of weak-kneed nations. Solana was chosen as the former head of NATO to now lead the EU nations into their former glory days -- the prophesied revival of the old Roman Empire.

At the heart of these plans were the 10 EU/NATO nations who also shared a mutual defense alliance with origins that pre-dated the North Atlantic Treaty that created NATO. The treaty they shared was the Brussels Treaty signed shortly after World War II.

But like I write in my book, these nations needed a strong big brother like America to defend themselves against the powerful Soviet Union. So, they moved their mutual defense obligation to each other in the old Brussels Treaty into the North Atlantic Treaty. However, they continued their old alliance looking forward to the day they could go it alone. And, that day came when the Soviet Union ceased to exist.

So, after Solana restructed NATO to make it all possible, Solana went to work in the EU and the biblical beast from the sea began to rise exactly as foretold. I'm talking, of course, about the 10-horned revived Roman Empire revealed in the books of Daniel and Revelation.

Now it looks like Solana is behind the Geneva Accords and preparing to send his EU/NATO forces into Israel to enforce the peace. If so, this would be the logical implementation of the Solana Doctrine in Israel.

As I look back now, it all still fascinates me. And I fear it won't be long until the entire world, and not just Israel, may taste the Solana Doctrine.

Stay tuned!

The 2nd Beast's First Steps?

As I've said before, if the first beast of Revelation chapter 13 is rising, then the second beast isn't far behind. And this bit of news tells me the cute little thing may be taking its first steps. It looks like the international gang wants to take control of the Internet. Like a big spider, the United Nations wants its own World Wide Web.

What does this have to do with the second beast of Revelation 13? Well, if you've read Recommendation 666, you know I believe the UN may be destined to fall under some form of Godless religious control. I believe this because the UN could easily become the institution the coming False Prophet will use to enforce his religious and economic controls.

And as I've been reporting, it looks like religious control over the UN may be already in the works. For example: Last July I wrote commentary about a report posted on NewsMax.com. The report said president Bush was thinking about co-sponsoring a resolution in the Security Council that would establish an Inter-religious Council within the UN (Read about it here>>>> http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2...14/161446.shtml

Of course, the problem with this idea from our Christian standpoint is this new UN body would have to promote the so-called inter-faith agenda. It would have to be friendly to all religions -- Christians, Muslims, Jews and whatever else may pop up.

Unfortunately Jesus wasn't, and still isn't, friendly to all religions. In fact, He said He came to Israel to cause division -- father against son and mother against daughter. And twice He chased the money changers out of His Father house. (I wish He'd do it again).

You see, we're either walking in the light where Jesus is, or we're walking in darkness where the fallen angels are bound waiting for the unwary to stumble in. No, there's no in-between or middle ground between light and darkness. It's one way or the another.

Yes, I fear the second beast may be taking its first steps. It wants the Internet under its Godless control. And when this happens, not only will the lights go out in Georgia, they'll go out around the world.

We must work while it's still day.

Implications of the Solana Doctrine

Sometimes I get so caught up gathering information and writing comentary, I fail to appreciate fully what something may mean. And, I think I've done it again. I've failed to appreciate fully the implications of the Solana Doctrine.

Fortunately, there were a few things about the EU's new security strategy I did manage to catch. For example, I realized it was further proof the old Roman Empire was coming back to life. And, I also understood the prophetic significance of the above fact. But, there are a few more implications I missed -- profound implications.

Firstly: Javier Solana's new security strategy isn't for a single nation -- it's for 25 nations. And soon it will be 30 or more nations. In other words, 25 European nations are at this moment agreeing to cede their foreign and security policies under one office in Brussels -- the office now belonging to Solana, and soon the EU's new foreign minister.

Secondly: Solana's office has no democratic legitimacy so the man who will weld this incredible authority over so many nations will have no democratic oversight.

Thirdly: Should Solana be the first person to hold this power -- the greatest in Europe since the Roman Empire -- there would be two serious matters for us Christians to consider.

One: Solana's rise to power will have been from a 10-nation alliance. And two: It will be associated with that infamous number from prophecy -- Assembly Recommendation 666.

Such are the implications of the Solana Doctrine.

European defence agreement reached

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - EU leaders on Friday morning reached an agreement on European defence that approves the establishment of an autonomous military planning cell.

The deal on a separate military headquarters was first reached by the UK, France and Germany on Thursday night and then endorsed by the rest of the EU members.

Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian Prime Minister and current holder of the EU Presidency, stated that this deal is in full "synergy with NATO".

EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana added that the autonomous planning cell would improve the capabilities for preparations for the EU-led operations. He pointed to the importance of proper planning saying experiences from the past have shown how important this is.

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said the agreement "completes the pillar of European defence".

With and without NATO

The main planning cell for European operations will still, however, be based in NATO, within SHAPE - the Alliance's planning cell - based in Mons (Belgium). The EU thereby addresses the most pressing of US concerns that a completely autonomous structure would have competed with NATO.

But the arrangement allows the EU to conduct its own operations independently of NATO, whenever it needs. There will also be ways of acting with NATO for possible joint operations.

As a further concession to Washington, NATO will be allowed to send liaison officers to the new planning unit in Brussels.

The European Summit also agreed the principle of structured co-operation in defence that allows groups of countries to advance faster than others and remains open for all countries to join provided they fulfil certain criteria.

The conclusions of the European Council made reference to a "constructive, balanced and forward-looking partnership" with the United States.

Washington accepts EU's independent military plan

Ian Black and Michael White in Brussels

Friday December 12, 2003

The Guardian

The US has accepted controversial British-brokered plans for independent EU military planning, despite having warned that this would pose a grave threat to Nato.

In what will be regarded as a diplomatic coup for Tony Blair, diplomats in Brussels said last night that Washington had finally given its blessing to proposals that will allow the prime minister to implement a landmark defence deal with France and Germany.

It will be formally tabled at the EU summit today.

Mr Blair has twice been in telephone contact with President George Bush in the past few days to assure him the laboriously negotiated deal will not weaken Nato.

"This has been a delicate negotiation, but it has been fruitful," the Downing St spokesman said last night.

Mr Blair has been anxious to repair relations between Europe and America caused by the Iraq war, and place Britain at the heart of an important EU project.

The four-point document shows how the French and Germans - prompted by Britain - have bent over backwards to assuage US concerns.

"Nato is the discussion forum and natural choice for an operation involving the European and American allies," it says.

Hints of the breakthrough came from George Robertson, Nato's secretary general, who has been trying to ensure that Europe's defence ambitions do not duplicate or undermine the Atlantic alliance.

The Bush administration has been suspicious about plans for an EU rapid reaction force, seeing it as a French-inspired drive to subvert Nato and weaken US influence. Washington was also furious about plans championed by Paris and Berlin to establish a separate military headquarters.

Two Speed Or Horn Pulling?

The EU beast doesn't exactly have it together right now. Here it is, having its most important summit since birth, and its little heads are fighting with each other.

The issue is control. France and Germany, two of the beasts heads with horns, want to control the beast. So they came up with a new voting system idea that will allow them to do it. But some of the beast's other heads with horns, Poland, Spain, Britain and I suspect Portugal -- the latter the same three who stood with American in the Iraqi war -- are against this new voting system. Why? Because they don't want France and Germany to be able to control the EU beast.

Enter the little horn -- the EU's High Representative Javier Solana. What does Solana want? I think he wants a new voting system, but for different reasons. Solana wants it because for a long time he's advocated getting rid of the current voting system that gives each member state the right of veto. You see, all it takes under the current voting system to stop Solana's foreign policy plans is one member state to veto it. So Solana naturally would like to see an end to the veto.

Like I said, what we're seeing at this EU summit is a battle of the horns for control. And as it looks now, neither side is interested in yielding. What will happen? I really don't know. However, I do see an interesting picture emerging -- a picture that if it happens, would also be another amazing fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

It's being reported if France and Germany don't get their way, a two-speed Europe could develop. In other words, some core member states could break from the EU and form their own group (Read about it here>>>> http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?t...storyID=3983367

At the same time, there are reports saying the EU's new defense plans are finally coming together for the EU's High Representative and his 10 nation alliance (Read about it here>>>> http://politics.guardian.co.uk/eu/story/0,...1105350,00.html

The main member states in this power struggle are members of Solana's 10 nation alliance. In other words, this is a battle between the EU beast's 10 horns. And, the question is, which side is Solana -- the beast's current little horn -- on?

Solana can't say it publicly, but I think he's on France and Germany's side. Like I said before, Solana has always wanted to rid himself of the member state's veto.

Now here's the picture: If a compromise isn't reached on this voting issue at this important summit, I see France and Germany doing what they say -- forming their own group. And this of course, would create that two-speed Europe nobody wants. That in turn would split Solana's 10 nation alliance leaving some members in one group and others in another. And if there are seven in one group and three in the other, we'll know what that could mean.

We may have just witnessed the pulling of the three horns (Daniel 7:8).

Stay tuned!

EU's Crash and Burn?

Not only doesn't the EU beast have it together, it's looks like it's having a complete breakdown. The beast's 25 little heads just can't seem to agree on who should lead.

So, is this the end of the EU beast? No, the beast will go on. However, like I said in my last commentary, I suspect a changing of its horns.

And according to this report, that's exactly what some are predicting. The New York Times is saying Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands may go ahead of the rest of the crowd and create their own little core group (Read about it here>>>> http://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/14/internat...&partner=GOOGLE

Now, if you add Greece into this mix of nations, guess what? We got a group of seven from Javier Solana's 10 nation alliance.

Like I said yesterday, we're seeing a battle of the EU beast's 10 horns. And now that the EU summit has failed to produce for them what they wanted, it looks like they'll all pack up and go home -- back to their Western European Union.

If so, this could create that two-speed Europe so many fear. The reason a divided Europe is feared is because that could mean a small group of nations would gain control over all the others. And this, of course, could be a very dangerous affair as far as freedom and democracy in the EU is concerned.

But for us students of Bible prophecy, there is something here much more serious to consider. If that two-speed Europe does come out of this collapsed summit, and if we see seven out of Solana's 10 nation alliance in one group and three in another, we may just have witnessed the pulling of the three horns foretold in Scripture (Daniel 7:8).

And, we all know what that means.

France Torpedo EU Summit?

The EUobserver may have opened up an intriguing new possibility. The writer of this report suggests France, not Spain and Poland, is responsible for the collapse of the EU summit (Read about it here>>>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?sid=9&aid=13897

As you may know, it was widely being reported the issue was what voting system the new. super EU would use in the Council of Europe. Spain and Poland wanted to keep the existing system because it gave them more equal standing with the larger member states. France and Germany, on the other hand, wanted a new voting system that would lean the balance of power in the EU more in their direction.

Now here's what the report is suggesting: All along France wanted to keep the existing voting system also -- just like Spain and Poland. The only reason France was siding with Germany on this voting issue was to torpedo the summit and make it look like it was Spain and Poland's fault.

I have to credit the EUobserver for some good observing. Not only do I think this suggestion may hit the mark, like I said before, I think this idea may have opened up an intriguing new possibility to consider.

You see, the existing voting system was adopted at the Nice summit in December 2000 -- under the same French EU presidency that implemented Recommendation 666. At this summit the EU heads approved the exsiting weighted voting system which gives the 10 Western European Union nations the majority vote in the EU. Not only do they have it now, these 10 nations will continue having the majority vote even after the 10 new members are admitted next May.

This brings up an important question: Why would France, a member of the 10 nation WEU and the presidency holder who adopted the weighted voting system, want now to get rid of the voting system? The best answer, of course, is what the EUobserver is suggesting -- France didn't. All along France wanted to keep the weighted voting system.

Now for that intriguing new possibility I mentioned: What if this was all planned from the get go. What if France and Spain were actually working together to torpedo this summit. Why? So the 10 nation WEU alliance could stay in control of the EU.

And here's another report that suggests that's what's happening. The EUobserver is also reporting the European Commission is worried about a move on the part of certain core members to forge their own deeper integration in defense (Read about it here>>>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?sid=9&aid=13901

You know what, I think the Commission should be worried.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
