All Eyes On Temple Mount

If nothing else, the recent speech by the EU's High Representative Javier Solana has given us a clearer understanding of what we can expect. And, this is specially true regarding the false religion that the Bible tells us is due to appear in the end-times.

And no matter what we think about the man, I don't think any knowledgeable person doubts Solana's ability to understand better than most what's going on in our world.

That's why Solana's ideas about the linkage of the world's three great religions -- Judaism, Christianity and Islam -- should be taken very serious.

In his recent speech, Solana used the two interlocking triangles in the Star of David to reveal to his Jewish listeners his vision of how to bring peace to the Middle East. He said the first interlocking triangle was Israel, Europe and America. And the second interlocking triangle was Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Is Solana just thinking out loud? I doubt it. In fact, this may explain the sudden reopening of high-level dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the World Jewish Congress last January. And what's interesting to me, the meeting was arranged by the French Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger.

Why is this interesting? Because not only is Lustiger charming and a very charismatic speaker, Lustiger is Jewish. And on top of all this, he is among those standing at the front in line to becoming the next Pope.

As I write, all eyes are on the crumbling Temple Mount (Read about it here)>>>> http://web.israelinsider.com/bin/en.jsp?en...s&enVersion=0

Everyone knows something has to be done. Not only is there fear over what would happen if the Mount collapsed, the issue over its ownership has to be resolved in order to bring peace.

Here's where religious dialogue between Judaism, Christianity and Islam comes in. If three-way agreements can be reached, there may be a chance for peace.

There is a group of religious Jews wanting to rebuild their temple. They believe if they rebuild their temple, it would bring redemption to Israel and the world. The group call themselves The Temple Mount Faithful.

Recently they send a letter to the Pope demanding that the holy vessels in possession of the Vatican be returned (Read it here)>>>> http://www.templemountfaithful.org/News/20040209.htm

Evidently, after the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, some of the vessels from the temple ended up in possession of the Vatican.

Now think about this: What if the next Pope is Jewish. And, what if as a gesture of good will, he returns the vessels to Israel?

Yes indeed, Solana's speech sure has opened some intriguing new possibilities.

Stay tuned.

Horn Pulling Time?

There's something going on here. And, I suspect we may know what it is. If the 10 Western European Union nations are to become the 10 kings of end-times Bible prophecy, sooner of later we're going to see three leaders from these 10 nations somehow removed, or subdued. And that may be what is now happening. In the book of Daniel we read:

After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. While I was contemplating the horns, behold, another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth uttering great boasts (New American Standard Bible).

There has been much speculation about the meaning "pulled out by the roots." But, in my opinion, it simply means the replacement of three leaders. One reason I believe this is because later an angel tells Daniel these three kings are "subdued" (Daniel 7:24). And another reason I believe this, in Revelation chapter 17 we find the Antichrist still has his 10-king alliance to wage his 3 1/2 year war against the Lamb.

Tomorrow the so-called "big three" -- Britain, France and Germay -- will be having their summit. They say the main reason is to revamp the EU Commission. But, few EU observers are falling for that line. The real issue on the their agenda is their newly formed defense alliance (Read about it here)>>>> http://www.eubusiness.com/afp/040216112048.ljroru6r

Another matter of concern is what to do about Javier Solana. His term is due to expire later this year and the EU's super Foreign Minister isn't due on the scene for a number of years. Their answer? Extend Solana's term indefinitely.

They also want to give Solana's office expanded powers. The expanded powers will come from merging Chris Patten's office in the Commission with Solana's office. This is interesting because with Patten's powers Solana will become the main principle and signatory in any new security agreement with Israel.

But wait a minute! Some of the smaller EU states don't trust what the big three are doing. They fear some kind of three-way directoire is emerging. In other words, they suspect the big three may be trying to take over the EU.

Here's what I think: I think elements in the WEU alliance may now be taking control of the Commisssion in the same way they took over the Council back in 2000.

Back to the horn pulling. It turns out three EU states are the most concerned about this. They are Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. And guess what? All three are members of the 10-nation WEU alliance (Read about it here)>>>> http://www.iht.com/articles/129792.html

Question: When the smoke settles from whatever the big three are up to at tomorrow's summit, will we see the leaders of Spain, Italy and the Netherlands standing on the outside?

Is this horn pulling time?

Stay tuned.

Peacekeepers to Palestine?

Momentum appears to be gathering to bring EU/NATO forces into the Israeli/Palestinians conflict.

If you recall, earlier this month at NATO's Munich Conference the Palestinian Foreign Minister said Palestine should be invited to join the European Union. Now the Palestinian Prime Minister is officially asking the EU for international peacekeepers to be deployed in Gaza and the West Bank (Read about it here)>>>> http://www.eubusiness.com/afp/040218123529.ghd38a6t

It's becoming harder to avoid the conclusion that America is intentionally drawing back from the peace process to allow the EU in.

This is what I think: For one thing, the Bush Administration realizes the coming election could be close. And, if Bush isn't re-elected, his ability to help Israel is over anyway. So in order to get re-elected, he can't afford to anger his evangelical Christian base by being seen as the one forcing Israel to give up her land.

For another thing, Washington desperately needs the help of the international community in Iraq. In order to gain the help of the international community, Bush will have to give something in return. And as I've been reporting, I believe that something in return is allowing the EU to play a bigger role in the Israeli/Palsestinian peace process.

You know what? It's like we're all living through an end-times movie. And this is the ironic part: Millions of Christians today are going into theaters to watch end-times movies being produced by their trusted spiritual leaders, when instead they should be watching the real thing. That's scary!

I said in my prior commentary, I'll say it again.

It's time for us to get real.

Enlargement: A 'wake up call' for Europe's goal to catch US

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - In an exclusive interview with the EUobserver, the former Danish prime minister, Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, says that the future member states will give a much needed shot in the arm to the EU's goal of becoming the most competitive economy in the world by 2010 - its so-called Lisbon strategy.

Mr Rasmussen, who has just published a new paper on the Lisbon strategy for the European socialist group and helped set up the strategy, said, "enlargement will be a wake-up call to the old member states".

Furthermore, he believes that implementing the Lisbon strategy will help the new member states to integrate into the EU. Lisbon will be "a very dynamic tool to make sure new member states are integrated into the EU in a good way", said the former prime minister.

Excellent Irish Presidency

The prevailing attitude towards the Lisbon strategy is that member states are not doing enough to implement reforms that will enable the EU to hit its targets.

In a report published ahead of a summit on economic reform in late March, the European Commission seemed to give up on the goals, saying, "the Union cannot catch up on the United States as our per capita GDP is 72 percent of our American partner's".

But Mr Rasmussen is more optimistic.

He reserves high praise for the Irish EU presidency, describing its work as "excellent" and adding, "I really have good hopes for the March summit. If the leaders of the governments follow the Irish presidency's approach, we could really have good hopes for this March summit".

So far, so bad

But he also shares the opinion of many analysts who believe that much more needs to be done.

The problem, as he sees it, is that there is much rhetoric at European level, but not enough action at the member state level.

"The major problem is the implementation in the Member States", he says, adding, "and this is a major problem because we can see that the tempo and practical measures taken at the national level are not living up to the European goals".

And he warns, "If we continue with the tempo we have for the moment, we will not reach the goals we decided on at Lisbon".

However, for Mr Rasmussen, there is no question of changing the targets or pushing them back in any way.

"I would warn right now against trying to push out the goals", he said.

"Let's really stick together to the goals we defined in the year 2000 in Lisbon and realise the goals, otherwise I fear it could be an excuse for not doing anything".

'Economic miracle' awaits new member states

An 'economic miracle' similar to that enjoyed by post-war Germany awaits the new member states after enlargement, a senior German economist has predicted.

Hans-Werner Sinn, head of the IFO economic institute - one of Germany's top think tanks - said, "we expect that an economic miracle will take place in the Eastern European accession countries in the next few years, which will be comparable to the economic miracle in West Germany after the second world war".

Accession countries can expect an economic boost from increased trade and inward investment after 1 May when they officially join the Union. A recent poll of top US firms showed that 46 percent consider Eastern European countries as their favourite location for investment.

But Eastern Europe's gain could be Germany's loss, warned Mr Sinn.

Due to much lower labour costs in Eastern Europe, there is a risk of increased employment in countries neighbouring the new EU members, particularly in border areas.

However, Germany's economics minister Wolfgang Clement is bullish, "an economic miracle is good for Germany. It is a strong market opportunity for us" he said.

Future member states represent one of Germany's strongest export markets and are already importing more German goods than the US. So, richer accession countries should spell stronger export sales for the eurozone's largest economy.

The Rome Statute

Prophecy - Signs

Monday, January 19, 2004

Jack Kinsella - Omega Letter Editor

On December 31, 2000, former president Bill Clinton issued the following official statement from Camp David. "The United States is today signing the 1998 Rome Treaty on the International Criminal Court. In taking this action, we join more than 130 other countries that have signed by the 31 December, 2000 deadline established in the Treaty."

Clinton's action, taken in the final hours of his presidency, won praises from the international elitists and Ivory Tower editorialists for taking his 'bold' action.

Chirac's Euro-Speak

Euro-speak is the ability to say one thing, and mean just the opposite. French President Jacques Chirac is good at Euro-speak.

As you may recall, the big three -- France, Germany and Britain -- recently frightened the smaller EU states by holding a private summit. The official purpose of this summit was about creating a super Commissioner to oversee the EU's economy. But according to knowledgeable observers, the real purpose was defense.

Now according to this report, wishing to reassure the 10 new EU member states the big three weren't really up to anything, Chirac reverted to Euro-speak. Chirac said:

I have only this to say: It's a Europe of 25 that France wants to build (Read about it here)>>>> http://www.eubusiness.com/afp/040224134316.dckh9ebu

Then after these reassuring words Chirac went on to say:

Some countries will have the will and capacity to go faster: let's open up the road to them.

The interesting part to what Chirac said was countries having "the will and capacity" to go faster. Here it is evident Chirac was referring to the big three's recent decision to create joint military units. And, Chirac's choice of words also show not everyone is invited.

But even Commission President Roman Prodi can see what's coming. According to the EUobserver, Prodi recently said:

It (a two-speed Europe) may become necessary because the institution cannot remain frozen (Read about it here)>>>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?sid=9&aid=14575

Why is this interesting to us at FulfilledProphecy? Because the Bible tells us the Roman Empire will return. But, it will be a divided kingdom. Some of it will be weak, some of it will be strong. But in it, it will have the strength of iron (Daniel 2: 40-43).

And one more thing. It will fall under the control of 10 kings. That's why this two-speed Europe thing is worth watching. As I've been reporting, there is sound reason to suspect what we're now seeing by these big three coming together are elements within the 10-nation Western European Union taking control of the EU while they still can.

In other words: Don't let Chirac's Euro-speak fool you.

Stay tuned!

Solana Pitches CFSP

It was about time we hear from the EU's High Representative. Evidently, Javier Solana pitched his Common Foreign and Security Policy at a conference held in Finland today. According to this report, Solana said:

We cannot close our eyes to what is happening in the rest of the world (Read about it here)>>>> http://www.eubusiness.com/afp/040225161821.lmsoz5du

If you've been following the news, you know the so-called "big 3," France, Germany and Britain, have been forging their own way in the European Union. In fact, not long ago the foreign ministers from these three nations negotiated an agreement with Iran over its nuclear program without even bothering to take Solana along.

And more recently, the big 3 angered the smaller EU states by holding a private summit where it was commonly understood critical defense issues were being discussed. And once again, it wasn't Solana in charge.

Now today we hear Solana once again pitching his Common Foreign and Security Policy. Is he being heard? In my opinion, he's not only being heard, I think he's preparing for his next role.

And just what role will that be? Here's what I think: The recent moves taken by the big 3 aren't in opposition to what Solana is attempting to do -- they're in complete harmony. You see, Solana has always worked with a strong core. For example, without the backing of France, Germany and Britain, the Western European Union's Assembly Recommendation 666 could never have been adopted -- let alone implemented.

So why is Solana pitching his Common Foreign and Security Policy at this conference? Because, in order to accomplish his goals he also needs the backing of all the smaller EU states. And, I suspect it servers his purpose to allow them to think he's their champion against the bigger EU states who they suspect are trying to take control of things.

In other words, things aren't always as they look.

Stay tuned!

Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
