One thought about rebelling against authority...

The Sanhedrin was completely compromised in Jesus' day.

Their anti-Jesus teaching continues to this day.

Shouldn't the Sanhedrin's authority be rebelled against?

The apostasy would consist of those who oppose God and His Christ. Seeing then how God is Love (1 John 4:8 & 16), and the teaching of Christ is to believe in loving God/love and your neighbor; those who then profess faith in Christ, but love attending hate rallies, are then apostates, who do not believe in loving their neighbor, and are therefore anti love/anti Christs.

You have political hate rallies. You have Qanon hate conspiracy theories that people take to hating others. Have you heard how Facebook has algorithms showing they get the greatest response from hate messaging? Teenagers have killed themselves over this stuff. So much for Zuckenbergs "do no harm" mantra. The people in all these hate groups, even if they profess faith in Christ, in fact do not have faith/belief in Christ, who stands for love, and love your neighbor.

FYI, The dissolution of the Sanhedrin occurred in 358 AD.

The rest is history.

Again, are you talking about Trump rallies? What rallies?

Any hate filled spew from any source, including Trump rallies, where people revel in hate rhetoric, are people who do not believe in loving their neighbor, and thus are anti believers in Christ, and so are anti Christs. This is a basic common sense assessment.

It's not just Trump rallies as I pointed out in my earlier post. Facebook is propagating hate, where teenagers are commiting suicide. Qanon conspiracy theorists are propagating hate and destroying families. Our legislatures, both Republicans and Democrats play the public against each other through their main stream media outlets, which also is destroying families. And the list goes on.

No it is critical that Christians be educated in what they believe. Discernment helps one choose between conflicting views and if one does not know what one believes it does not help.

I believe without the Holy Spirit indwelled many a soul are lost and regardless of how intelligent and informed they are they will not be able to determine the truth or have discernment in matters unless the Holy Spirit leads.

Actually, the Sanhedrin has been reformed:

"On October 13, 2004, the Sanhedrin Council of the Jewish nation was reconstituted for the first time in 1,600 years. The ceremony took place in the Israeli town of Tiberias, located on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. This was the site of the council’s last meeting in the year 425 AD."
