In whom are we waiting for?

As we saw in Zephaniah 2:1, Israel became an undesired nation. An the reason can be seen in Zeph 1:9 and below:

•    Zephaniah  2:4-7 -> “For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.  Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.  And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.”.

Note how intimate were Israelites and Philistines. Certainly the Israelites were thinking that the Philistines and their gods could help them to veer the judgment that was coming from the Creator through the king of Babylon.

And we, many times, figure the same, that is to say, that we can sort out the problems by our own capacity.

The truth, however, is that, if everything goes wrong in our life, it is a sign that there is something wrong between Jesus and us. In this case, we need to conciliate with Him first before go out in searching of the solution.

For instance: let’s suppose that husband and wife disagree with each other. Instead of trying to make amends, both ought to seek in Jesus repent, convert from their bad demeanor and follow Jesus toward the reconciliation.

After all, the problem isn’t a simple misunderstanding, but a breach in their character and only in Christ the mercy can be exercised and close this breaches in both hearts (see Eze 22:30; Mal 2:15).

Note, in Zeph 2:7, that, In the end, who would inherit the land of the Philistines was the remaining of Judah, those who kept close to the Creator.

So, stay close to the Creator, enjoying His company in meekness (Ps 37:4) and you will inherit the land (Ps 37:10,11), the boons.

Go to the place where Jesus wish you and He will make right your paths (Ps 37:5,6) and make alliance until with your enemies (Prov 16:7) and the animals of the fiels (Job 5:23; Hosea 2:18).

So, have a excellent day seeking Jesus and His kingdom first (Mat 6:33).

I agree that there may be something wrong, but not always. Could be, something neat is going to soon happen.

John 15, 1-2

"I am the True Vine and my father is the vinedresser. Every branch of mind that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes that it may bear more fruit"

Us Believers, as branches, abide in the True Vine the Lord Jesus Christ. The father is the vine dresser and he prunes us the branches to Bear more fruit. For me, he cuts off all the unnecessary part of the branch, me, so there is less of me and more fruit is borne, and displayed Within Me. The fruit produced by the True Vine Jesus is displayed Within Me That Others May see, and receive. March fruit pleases the father. The branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the Vine.

Notice the Father, the vinedresser, prunes the branches bearing fruit that abide. This means he's cutting off a lot of unnecessary stuff in my life that inhibits bearing much fruit. It could be a loss of a friend, the loss of a job, the loss of a home, etc etc. I know this has happened in my own personal life. Was I being chastised? Was I being pruned?? With the loss of the home, moving to a new location, and no job, I met new Christian friends, started my own business, and built a nice new home for my family and myself. And I say unequivocally, that God supplied it all. There is no shadow of  doubt. I do not believe I was chastised. I believe I was pruned by the vine tender and then blessed beyond measure, bearing more fruit produced of the true vine. And God was merciful to me a sinner.

I agree with you, Leonardo, that at the time I tried to sort out my problems and leaned on my understanding. I could not understand why God was  "so upset with me"  I don't believe it was God being upset with me, but he was simply pruning me for a greater blessing, and I would bear more fruit because of it.

Sometimes when things appear to go wrong in our lives, can simply mean that God is pruning us, getting rid of unnecessary stuff in our lives, that we bear( show forth) more fruit, which pleases the father, glorifies the father.

When I learned of John 15 more thoroughly, I really started to acknowledge God in troubles, and quit trying to figure it out in my own understanding. God's ways are not man's ways. Our Father, the vinedresser, knows exactly what stuff to cut off in our lives, that we would bear then much fruit. This glorifies the father.

Great message Brother?

Sometimes god tests our faith not always when things go wrong are we out of step with god, he builds character and the only way to do that is testing us

Do we complain?

Are we “ stiffnecked” ? Because complaining is telling God “ you aren’t taking care of me”, Sometimes he tests that faith of yours

Like the little boy that spent all day building his little sailboat, he glued it together, he painted it and he couldn’t wait to play

he took it out to the pond and it’s little sails filled with wind, he looked on proud very happy ?

just as his little sailboat got to the middle of the pond a strong wind came and it sank the boat!

The little boy just smiled and said “ What a great day to fly a kite” and off he went to get his kite ?

Sometimes things don’t go the way we want but put your faith that god has great plans for you and pass his tests

He will make you stronger

Thank you for the message Brother

SHALOM❤️

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
