Isaiah 24:2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

(bad times ahead for everyone).

I don't read anything in that entire chapter indicating this is going to happen in the 21st century.

The empty earth could mean famine but just a few verses later the text says God plundered the earth and "The earth dries up and crumbles away, the mainland dries out and crumbles away, the exalted of the people of the earth dwindle. The earth is also defiled by its inhabitants, for they violated laws, altered statutes, and broke the everlasting covenant." So God's own word explains the emptiness and waste. It's about the lack of covenant people, the lack of godly people. The Hebrew plainly says God makes the earth waste, not man. The Hebrew words means to destroy or devastate, not to add pollution. God is being redundant to emphasize the severity of the situation occurring at his hand. The text also says it is going to happen to priests.

Yes, the earth is defiled by its inhabitants who have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting covenant (Isaiah 24:5). The Lord then goes on to explain this as the curse which has devoured the earth (Isaiah 24:6). This curse that devours the earth is the curse that goes over the face of the whole earth in Zechariah 5:3.

Isaiah 24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Zechariah 5:3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.

If you look at when the curse that goes over the face of the whole earth is occurring, it is when the Lords two anointed ones (Zechariah 4:14) are emptying the golden oil out from themselves (Zechariah 4:12). These two olive trees (Zechariah 4:3 & 11), are the same two olive trees and two candlesticks (the two witnesses) who stand before the God of the earth in Revelation 11:4. With the events in Zechariah 4 & 5 correlating with when the two witnesses are testifying in Revelation 11, the curse in Isaiah 24 would therefore also be during these end times.

Zechariah 4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Zechariah 4:12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

Zechariah 4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

Zechariah 4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Those that can see will see, those that have been spirit filled will understand. The rest will learn by trial and fire. The book is not opened to all, which is very apparent here.

Not a single word about the 21st century.

Josheb, I showed how Isaiah 24 and Zechariah 4 & 5 correlate with Revelation 11, which is during the 42 month reign of the beast, at the conclusion of which, the Lord commences to reign. These events are therefore 21st century.

I have a question for you in regards to a description the Lord provides us in Isaiah 24, and I'd like to see how you answer. In Isaiah 24:19-20, the Lord informs us that the world is in very dire straits, and that it will fall, never to rise again. Can you explain this? Hint: It's a matter of context. I will explain if I receive a response from you.

Isaiah 24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Maybe, not exactly today,...but the signs are it's coming in fast.

I disagree but that has nothing to do with my statement. There's not a single word in Isaiah 24 specifically or explicitly about the 21st century. This is plain to see from a plain reading of the text. It's not a point for which there should be any particular agreement: there is nothing in Isaiah 24 about the 21st century; not a single word

No, the post "showed" how your particular eschatology links those passages, not how scripture itself links those passages, but that has nothing to do with my statement. Not a single word in Isaiah 24 is about the 21st century. It's not a point for which there should be any particular agreement.

If you answer the question I asked, I will show how these events are for today. And there is more to follow, but you have to recognize step one before step two can also be recognized.

When my comment is addressed for what it states I'll be happy to do so but I don't generally collaborate with those who don't respond to actual posts' contents, especially those attempting to avoid comments and inquiries by ignoring the matter and expecting others to do what they have not.

It's not a complicated matter: the chapter of Isaiah 24 does not actually contain a single word about the 21st century.

You are correct in that there is no direct mention to the events in Isaiah 24 being 21st century events, but then neither does any of the data the Lord provides us throughout the bible directly inform us that the end times before the Lord commences to reign will occur in the 21st century. Many of us, however, believe we are now in the end times, and therefore with Isaiah 24, Zechariah 4 & 5, and Revelation 11 correlating, Isaiah 24 would then constitute 21st century events. I hope this answers your question, and that you will now address the question I raised about the data in Isaiah 24:19-20.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
