COWORKERS ASKING QUESTIONS

I have a coworker asking questions about the end times. Shes a non believer however this whole huricane disaster and her watching it on the news had made her start to think. She asked if what she had heard is true that the bible speaks of natural disasters and wars etc in the bible before the end times and where it says that. I told her to read revalations. Wondering if anyone could give me scriptures that back up things happening now in the bible for her to read?

"...There shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."-Matthew 24:7,8

There are tons more Scriptures to show...but it would take all day...and I don't want to bore you with pages.

Personally...I believe that the North America is going to have an economic collapse even worse than the Great Depression of the 30's. This will come by way of natural disasters and wars and greed. By the time of the next Depression, probably in about 5-10 years, China and the European Union (Revived Roman Empire) will be the predominate leaders in the world military and economic situations. The United States will adapt the euro...and the foundation for a world government will be put in place. Then the rapture will happen during peace times. The Antichrist will rise to power as an un-parallelled political leader, supported by the false prophet, the Pope. They will deceive the world for 3 and a half years until the Antichrist pollutes the Newly Built Jewish Temple with an idol of himself. The next 3.5 years are what will be the worst time known to man...the Great Tribulation...and following Jesus as Saviour will be punishable by death.

Give me a personal message if you want Scriptural references or more details.

God bless. :)

Hesmylight...one thing's for sure...Jesus is coming back...and SOON...in fact...Jesus Himself said that it would be THIS GENERATION...the generation that Israel becomes a nation again:

"Now learn a parable (symbolic story) of the FIG TREE (Israel is symbolic of the fig tree in the Old Testament): When his branch is yet tender (newly formed, may 14th 1948 when they became a nation again), and putter forth leaves (grows in size, 1967 during the six day war), ye know that summer is nigh (Jesus' return)...This generation (that sees those things happen) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."-Jesus in Matthew 24:32-34

Jesus said that the generation that saw the fig tree become a nation and grow would see His return. THAT IS US MY DEAR FRIEND!!! So exciting...so much Good News to spread before His return! :)

Do you think she would be interested in hearing about Jesus?

Tell her you would be happy to share with her the Good News about Jesus Christ :)

Then tell her you could read the bible together if she was willing. :)

When I have my bible out, people I've worked with usually ask...."What book is that you're reading?" When I tell them it's my bible, I either get an "Oh" and a closed door or I get an "Oh really?" and an open door to answer their questions :)

Matthew chapter 24

Mark chapter 13

Luke chapter 21

If she wants to know what God is all about, have her read Matt. chap. 5,6,7. Those three chapters are a good place to start.

Additionally, Mark 13 coincides with the reading of Rev 6 in side by side comparisons. Luke 21 is somewhat of a side view of Mat24 and Mar13.

It's important to remember that God is Love and whilst he created the earth, He is not directly responsible for what goes on. The earth is a self sustaining biomass, and the elements while created by God are in a self perpetuating system. IF God intervened then there would be no need for FAITH in such extreme circumstances. You will find that thousands upon thousands of people will and are turning their hearts back to the Lord and seek Him as they realize that He is returning soon.

These kinds of situations tend to create "teachable moments" in folks lives. Rather than having her read revelations on her own, how about inviting her to study what the Bible has to say about the end times with you. Once you get her to agree, we could talk about some good study materials you could go through

Oh man... Sending a non-believer to read Revelation!! Yikes, that a tough book to understand!

OK

I'm with EricH... Also, the movie "The Apocalypse" with Richard Harris is a GREAT introduction to The Word...

It take place on Patmos with the Apostle John narrating his vision and has some wonderful parallels of the Four Horsemen and what is going on in the world today... Check it out together!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
