Amazon.com now sells adult products

You know the kind of things I'm talking about. Well, I never had a real excuse to not shop amazon.com until now. Sick. Like they even need the income from these sort of sales.

Well, that's about enough of the article I'm willing to post here. I already had to edit some of it, including the headline. If you really want to know more then all I can say is to use a search engine, but I think all we need to know is in this quoted section. 40,000(!) different products of this nature. When they turned to the carnal they really went all out.

That's all I want to say about this. I felt a little unclean after reading it, but it is important to know about the companies we do business with. They tried to be discreet, true, but the fact that they sell them at all is a huge disappointment.

I know I was given the go to post about this by a moderator, but should the opinion change, then all I ask is that this is left here for a mere week so most who read the nes section will be informed of this unfortunate choice by this internet company.

Not at all. That ia why I was asking Qman about if he is against the products it's self. I see nothing wrong with them.

I checked it out myself and didn't see some of the worse things that can be bought, but there are still many things that I don't believe anyone, including a married couple, should ever need. Is it a sin for married couples to use these things? I honestly don't know. If it feeds lust, then yes. Lust is always wrong, even toward your spouse. Aside from that, though...? I have never been married and have never shepherded any married couples, so I have never had to ask God.

Still, aside from the contraceptives and maybe a few other things I saw there, this stuff should not be on a mainstream website. We try to relegate these things to "red light districts" for a reason. Imagine a child innocently looking for a gift to buy over the internet (in full view of mom or dad of course). Mom navigates to amazon.com thinking it will be safe, and why not? Amazon certainly hasn't advertised that they sell this stuff. Anyway, mom tells her child, "just click on a few things and see if there is anything you like, then we'll see if we can get it." She turns away to do something else, thinking everything is okay. The child clicks a few things, then a few minutes later, "Mommy, what is that? It says something about privates!"

Like I said, there is no warning before going in there, like "you must be over 18 to view this page" or something, though to their credit using their search engine give this at the bottom: "These search results have been filtered to remove adult products. Click here to include these items in your results."

Again, honestly I can't see why much of this stuff is needed, even by married couples.

Haven't checked it yet but if it is as described here I will no longer buy from Amazon and wite to tell them so. Too bad, too, for they have some of the best prices with free shipping that I have found.

I'm in agreement with Old Timer on this one.
