Col. 216 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days 17 Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.

Paul has warned the GENTILE Colossian church that nobody shud judge them regarding Festival days, clean food or shabbat which they are not familiar with. Those are just shadow of things to come.

Roman 14 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt?

Galatia 5:2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

Some Jews has taught the gentile churches without authorization from the apostles, Matt 15 24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said.

They tried to teach the old Law to the gentiles : Matt 15 10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?

We must not overlook that Now is the era of Holy Spirit Pentecost downpour which is not given to the ancient desert Hebrew.  The desert rebel Hebrew who bite birds alive were not given Holy Spirit with 9 Gifts of Holy Spirit to build the church, so Why return to the ancient desert Law who had not rcvd Holy Spirit but the Law ?

God had renamed the Law contaned in 613 mitzvot (take all or leave all) of Torah with these two : Love God and love others as we love ourselves.

Its the era of Holy Spirit downpour, why should some Jews teach gentile church  to dig the old grave of Law ?

The Hypocrites Theologian Jews who judged the Collosians only had the Law, not Holy Spirit. They never learn that God has torn the curtain of the most Holy Chamber which means all the Law and practice were only shadow of the true Covenant which is Christ and God further used a nation to destroy the Temple in Jerusalem and the Jews at 70 AD. Wasnt it God who commanded to build the Temple ? Wasnt that God either who destroyed it with all its practice ? Its a new Covenant not the shadow.

Matt 5 17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

All the Law has been renamed in these two :

Matt 22 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Roman 13 8... for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”[a] and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Holy Spirit will make intercession to take over our burden when we pray with Glosolalia and give us daily sabbath rest.

Rome 8:26 .... for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Its a new Covenant not the shadow. If you love God and love others like you love your belly do you still need the Law ? Follow the early disciples than become acute Theologians.

I agree. The grace confirms the law instead of trying to abide by it.

Oh dear...large amount of effort completely wasted because of a misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the text.

In a nutshell ..do you understand the way in which the moral law given to the Israelites at Sinai is catalogued?

You may be surprised to find the first four are Love for God, and the last six, are love for your neighbour.

Don't believe me...write out the commandments and see for yourself!

Next, the very first command given in the Bible is actually found before Adam and Eve sinned...Genesis chapter 2 (note verses 16&17 below)

15Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.

16And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden, 17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”

Anyone who says the law exists only because of sin or some kind of Israelite only covenant is 100% wrong.

Finally, anyone who says the old covenant is works based under the law and the new one by faith, has a massive problem...Paul tells us Abraham believed and was saved by faith too in

Romans chapter 4...

13For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world was not given through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

I have observed 'pulpit speak' against what they say is 'the law' bandied around by those that have never even read Leviticus.
It seems that few understand atonement and substitutionary rites either from what they say.
When we do not study well and do not listen to the scholars we can easily go off in the wrong direction. When the apostles speak out against all the various laws and oddities of the superstitious gentiles we immediately think they speaks out against God's Laws because we 'want to get off that hook' by poor exegesis.

Mostly all wrong and many post hoc straw man arguments because some seem have an ax to grind that should never even have begun.

Think hard. Study well. Do not follow every silly idea that comes from a 10 minute sermon... ^_^

This OP is really unnecessary and in poor taste - plus it is WRONG.

Peter was not a scholar yet he rebuked those Acute Theologians scholars (many in this forum) who taught gentile churches without authorization from apostles.

On the contrary to your opinion, Paul n Peter save the church a lot of time, energy and effort to understand Christianity.

I am not following you? I have just explained the apostles theology...do you disagree with what the apostle Paul said about Abraham being saved by faith? ( It appears you don't agree with Paul)

Abraham was saved by Faith, yes, not by Law.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
