Romans 9:32 (NASB20)
Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,

     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scripture is putting forth that not pursuing righteousness by faith, but by thinking one can achieve the same by self effort is that which causes one to stumble… This same stumbling is spoken of elsewhere in scripture as the ‘offense of the cross’… And again this same truth is put forth when Paul was accused of preaching a Gospel  of ‘let us do evil that good may come’… For these are the efforts of the self life trying to understand something of God.. Not knowing that unless faith is that that reaches out towards God, the self life will be what try’s to reach out towards God…
Human understanding accused Paul of preaching a Gospel of let us do evil that good may come… Human understanding was offended by the cross of Christ… Human understanding thought it could achieve by its own efforts what alone faith could produce…
These are examples of the self life getting involved in what is not in its purview, where faith alone is that that can reach out to God and touch Him… Thereby does the efforts of self become a stumbling stone, the cross an offense, the Gospel misunderstood… For not pursuing God by faith alone produces all these adverse effects in life, which they can not help but produce, for they are the natural effects of the works of the life of self….
Pursuing God by faith alone is that which bypasses this stumbling stone, this being offended, this misunderstanding of what the Gospel is…. For the Gospel is a trusting in God by faith, a trusting in God to form Christ in one, a trusting in God to grow the new birth in one, a trusting in God to manifest the Divine nature in one… All these are pointing to the same truth, that being, the Life of Christ really and truly coming to life in one, that being that life that sins not, that being what faith in God alone can produce…
For the heart either is reaching out to God in faith or it isn’t, the fruit of that faith or lack of the fruit of that faith will be the Christ being seen in one or not… For unless it is a work of faith, it is a work of self, the proof being the Christ that is formed in the life, that which work can be seen and tasted in life by another… Christ or self, faith or self effort, all things falling into one of these two…
For the Gospel of faith is a real faith that reaches out after a real God so that He may really a truly grow the new life, this new birth that sins not in one… If this life that sins not is not being brought to life, the stumbling stone has been stumbled over, self effort has the rule in life, and self will be what one knows till the faith of the heart turns to God and steadfastly maintains that faith… Christ in one will be understood in word only, an impossible knot to untie, till the self life ceases its own effort to serve God and by the faith of the heart alone reaches out after God and refuses to let Him go till He makes one a new creation, created in righteousness, by righteousness, for righteousness….
For all the pursuing of God but by faith, is jumping on the hamster wheel, proud of one’s own efforts, thinking one is moving, but not, just spinning the wheel till futility sets in, and the eyes of faith turn Heavenward....
Be blessed in pursuing God by faith and receiving the growing of the new life that sins not….
It took me many many years in the RCC before realizing something just wasn't right, the rules of dogma, the working to keep the good works to out weigh the bad. Was taught it was a sin to 'presume' upon God I was good enough to be saved. The sin of presumption. Then a simple seed of light was sown into my heart, and another child was born. Even after I was saved, it took time for the light to remove all the subtle darkness in my mind.  As a new believer, the Holy Spirit/scripture/faith quickly took care of that.    Amazing Grace...
Well said?
Acts without faith means nothing to God
Like Amos 5:21-24
I hate, I despise your feasts!
I can’t stand the stench
of your solemn assemblies.
Even if you offer Me
your burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
I will have no regard
for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle.
Take away from Me the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
But let justice flow like water,
and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.
Acts without faith and Righteousness is detestable to our Father
He is a God of Judgment, BUT also a God of mercy he gave Isreal and Judah plenty of warnings through his prophets before casting Judgment as he says a few verses earlier
Amos 5:4
For the Lord says to the house of Israel:
SEEK ME AND LIVE!
even a city so wicked as Nineveh
was spared Gods wrath because they repented in the book of Jonah
Repentance halts Judgment ?
Seek him and Live!♥️
    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.
      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.
      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.
      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.
      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”
    • Understanding the Enemy!
      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!
      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.
      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,
      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.
      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!
    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,
      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.
      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
