I used to be anti medicines, and into herbs and all sorts of vitamins, etc.

 When my doctor would say you need to take blood pressure medicine, my response would be if I die I die.

He outsmarted me one time and turned my own thinking around by saying-But what if you don't die and just have to sit with a dribble cup under your chin? You are too young  to have to live with that and have family tending to you for years and decades.

 That was the trump card that beat me at my own game.

I don't believe anyone here is against genuine medicine  .... I could be wrong ...just guessing.

I was.

Course I spent a lot of time in doctor's offices getting them to fill out the cause of death along with their signature on death certificates of their patients too. 

I used to believe it was all in one's head and that one could overcome by shear will. Used to buy into the clinical  pyschology theory that heart attacks were the coward's suicide. 

Live long enough and one can go through lots of periods of- well, stupidity.

A p.s. to my previous post. My family has suffered much due to beinganti medicine in the sense of conventional western medicine and instead being into a few alternative theories on health maintenance.

Such foolishness took my own wife's life in a very harsh manner earlier than she would have died otherwise. Was that foreknown and predestined too? I suppose it was, none the less a very painful  part of life is coming to realize one's own foolishness and it's harsh consequences.

It's hard for me to understand how or why anyone would be anti - genuine medicine. It really isn't so much a question of who is "pro- genuine medicine" and who isn't that I am addressing here, but rather ... what constitutes genuine medicine and what doesn't?

Guess it is a matter of what is genuine in the mind's eye of each individual. I didn't go quite so far as a Christian scientist might, and start to believe I was a figment of my own imagination,  nor did I go  with Scientology-Dianetics and now simply Flag,  and become "cleared" regularly by the magic radio, but many tens of thousands if not hundreds and even millions sure do. I see them nearly daily. they are much like cartoon zombies or what in Popeye cartoons  were the marching gooney-goons. So very sad that real people do get willingly pulled into such stuff.

I went into convincing myself that it is all a matter of will power period. Then I later followed  tracking body chemical balances, acid versus alkaline, drinking the water and lemon water and other processes that come with that.  Tracking electrolyte  measure and so on.  We as a family also made bread of spelt only, ate garlic for blood pressure, and tended to our own that had strokes and cancers - and died.  Kind of stupid really.

Was that medicine?

Now I take a couple of simple pills each day for blood pressure, have a real doctor analyze my blood/ urine lab report numbers, and try to save what is left of my vision- though what is there is excellent, better than 20/20, some is now missing altogether because of my following bad  "medical" theories of the various anti western medicine "cults" of charlatans;  - and by deceiving myself!

As to why such stuff happens to so many  individuals: my guess is ol' Leon Festinger came up with the answer long ago with his theory of Cognative Dissonance- that once a person has made a decision of any consequence they will then only recieve  and accept as correct  that which agrees with their conclusion, and will reject all that does not agree.

Awareness of that is the why behind the whole  corporate world's mindset of the "post sale reinforcement message(s)" being very  important and even vital to long term business success.

Well, what many people forget in this equation is where we are on God's timeline. The Covid snake bite will play a critical role as it pertains to the MOTB. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 assures us that the vast majority will be deceived .... they will believe the lie ... the strong delusion. We are not living in just any ordinary time in human history .... we are living in the very last of the last days.
