For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. I am seeing a lot of this on Worthy. Matthew 7:16 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord [Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward And he would go on to give other examples i heard a pastor say “ man I love when people say hey great sermon!, but it’s bittersweet he laughs I’m getting my rewards now”” I feel cheated out of my reward in heaven” it’s like when people donate to a church or cause and demand a big bronze plate with their name on it, they are already getting their rewards now same as these pastors that live in multimillion dollar mansions, they get their rewards now instead of in heaven , not unlike the Pharisees who got their rewards in full already SHALOM❤️ 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We need to know and study the Word of God so well that we know a false teacher or counterfeit when we see it. We need to pray to God as we study His Word to give us the truth.
