I just quoted what the article said! I'm sorry if that "offended" you as a canadian. I certainly am not offended when the entire world including Canada insults my President. I don't see where anything I said would cause offense.

Canada was contacted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services officials to request National Emergency Stockpile System supplies. Requested were "blankets, gloves, gowns, batteries, needles, surgical dressings, bandages, tongue depressors, and bath towels and cloths."

Canada has to be ASKED for help. They didn't volunteer? Our closest neighbor had to have the USA ask them for their stockpiles of blankets? Pretty pathetic I think.

I guess you think that anything said about your government officials is directed at the canadian people directly. I don't see it that way. People are entirely different than their governments.

I can criticize elected officials without it being directed at the people themselves.

If my government spoke for me. there would be no abortions.

I certainly do not take insults directed at our government as personal insults.

My responses were with question marks.

Which means they were questions.

If there are facts other than what was posted in the article, maybe you should have posted that information rather than get offended.

Countries pledge hurricane aid to US.

None has been turned down, Rice said at a news conference, disputing a report from Moscow that a Russian offer had been rejected. However, she said some offers were being taken up immediately and others "somewhat later," depending on the needs on the ground.
