Whom are you seeking to?

•    Amos 5:4 -> “For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live;”.

I know that, amidst so much injustice, our lean is to seek rebellion against the leaders. Nonetheless, see what the Holy Scripture says:

•    Pro 17:11 -> “An evil man seeks only rebellion, and a cruel messenger will be sent against him.”.
•    Pro 24:21 -> “My son, fear the LORD and the king, and do not join with those who do otherwise,”.
    
Of, we can’t stand the sin. Nonetheless, instead of rebelling against the evildoers, what we need to do is to hear of Jesus what is our role amid what they are doing. See this example:

•    Jer 29:4-7 -> “Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”.

Although Babylon was an idolatrous and perverted city, the Creator said to them to seek in Him the welfare of this city. And the reason for this was to prove to us that it is impossible to heal Babylon:

•    Jer 51:9 -> “We would have healed Babylon, but she was not healed. Forsake her, and let us go each to his own country, for her judgment has reached up to heaven and has been lifted up even to the skies.”.

At each time, the Creator has something to teach. At that time, Israelites should pray to Jesus for the Babylon. After seventy years, the order changed:

•    Zec 2:7 -> “Up! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.”.

And today the order is:

•    Rev 18:4  Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; 

So, it isn’t for us to be gregarious with people of this world, partaking of their bad customs. On the contrary:

•    Eph 5:11 -> “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”.
•    1Pe 4:3-5 -> “For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”.

So, have a good day bilking every fool in his folly. It’s better to die in Christ in the hands of a female bear robbed of the cubs than to dally in the foolishness of a fool:

•    Pro 17:12 -> “Let a man meet a she-bear robbed of her cubs rather than a fool in his folly.”.

Yes, the Babylon of the beast will be filled with debauchery, which we who believe must avoid worshiping, as will the rest of the world worship.

Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
