Honestly, I think you guys may be overly critical. I'm not aware of what church is using this "slogan", but I really don't have a problem with it. There is no "slogan" which will accurately convey the entire gospel message, especially in a short amount of time (which is what slogans are meant to do). They are designed to target a specific audience and address a common need/desire/theme. While I'm not necessarily a fan of church slogans, I try not to discount them altogether because I have no idea what God is doing on a broad spectrum.

It's no secret that we are living in a generation of ppl who don't know where they're going, who are searching for something...and still haven't found it. We're living in an age of "the lost" where a large majority of ppl in multiple age groups don't know who they are, what they believe or what their purpose is. Why is it so wrong to use a simple phrase that might peak their interest enough to get them into a place (the church) where they can hear the truth and answers to all their questions? "Find your path..enjoy the journey together"...to me this communicates that this is a place that will help you discover who you are, where you're headed and they'll walk through it all with you. What's wrong with that? Isn't that the essence of being the salt and light? Isn't that what being the body is all about?

Now, just so you know, I'm not a fan of "seeker-sensitive" or "mega-church" mentality, so it's sort of unusual for me to go against the grain here and disagree on this. But I just think sometimes we're too quick to judge little things like this. God can use phrases, questions and yes even "slogans" to draw ppl to Himself. So while it might not necessarily be a phrase you or your church would use, don't under-estimate what God might be using this particular body to do. They may be filling a need that other congregations are missing.

It's very Zen. Very Today. But are we to reach out by worshipping our G-d as they do theirs?

Talk about out of context.

It's for the United Methodist Church. Watch the commercial and it's quite clear they're appealing to the sensetive aspets of people on a "spiritual journey". It's a good way to get them in. I don't agree with it, but it's not New Age.

IF I called Christianity "the way" would I be a New Ager as well? If I said Christianity was a journey, would I believe in New Age?

The problem is it says, "Find your path" not "Find the path."

That's what kind of makes it sound suspicious.

I am most likely wrong, I am proved that way anyway, I scribbled it down during the news on the hurricane clean-up and may have not gotten it right. It may have said, Follow your path.

I apologize for 'taking this out of context' I heard it on the TV and wanted to ask your opinion, but I dont' know how to do even that. To some I could ask what color they liked and found to have something wrong with it.

Thats what the New Age mumbo jumbo gumbo is all about. For them, the doctrine of many "truths" is orthodoxy.

It just came on the TV again, the one I have been seeing tonight is a condensed version, the first one I saw a pregnant lady haveing a pretty angry fight with her 'husband"? and other such vignettes. then they showed them like the preg woman, walking out, and meeting on a hillside.

It did say , "Find your path"

Again I am watching coverage of Katrina, so maybe that is why they are using this campaign, but ......

it sounds like folly!!!!!!!

mainstream folly!!!!!!!

lies and purposeful deception. taking GOD out of politics and public places is just part of the plan....the real plan: take GOD out of everything all together. with money, power, science, media, and propaganda the world seeks to forcefully turn us away from the LORD.

if the tv is playing this during coverage of 'katrina', it is the anti-help.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
