Israeli spiritual leader: Katrina is punishment

This will show you how much I watched the news prior to Katrina. I had seen the evacuations on TV in Israel...but didn't realize it was Jewish people being evacuated. I thought it was the Israeli troops moving Palestinians out of the area. I had assumed that because I heard the part about the troops being Israeli troops but my kid was talking, my wife was talking and I didn't catch the fact that it was Israeli troops forcibly removing Israeli citizens. Nor did I have any idea that our own government was behind this event in any way. It was not until I began seeing posts on here that I came to realize what had taken place in Israel.

After reading this article, there is now no question in my mind as to why this happend. An eye for an eye...a tooth for a tooth. Our nation has become very careless in its actions and I for one would like to offer my sincere apologies to the Jewish people for anything my country has done directly or indirectly to cause harm to the nation of Israel...as well as for my lack of knowledge on what was going on.

It sounds to me that the Israelis need to get rid of Ariel "Chamberlien" Sharon and get Bebe Netanyahu back in the driver's seat if they're so concerned with fighting terrorism. Clinton poured all kinds of loot into Sharon's campaign to boot him out because he refused to negotiate with the PLO.

Israel depends too much on American support to survive. It's probably time to cut those ties and Netanyahu is the only Israeli leader who would dare.

It looks like all nations could be coming against Jerusalem sooner than we thought.

This is really the best thing we can do. Pray for our leaders to make wise decisions...and be prepared for when they don't.

The point of my bringing this up is to help christians see that this isn't an isolated incident which caught everyone by surprise. Many of us have been sounding the alarm that judgement would come and no one heeded it. This "land for peace" debacle isn't over so keep your eyes open folks! You WILL start seeing a pattern now.

That certainly does not take away from our responsibility to be His hands in the midst of this storm. Our purpose is ultimately for redemption...not condemnation

We might be able to change the immediate future with informed prayer if we know what to pray for, ya know?

Either way...blessed be the name of the Lord.

I found it interesting to note the Rabbi, who was displaced by Katrina, specifically said Katrina was NOT caused by God but merely by a change in water temperature in the Altlantic.

Which is like saying Sodom and Ghommorah were not destroyed in an act of God's judgement, but because of firey, sulfuric balls of brimstone falling from the sky.

I'm sure nobody who lived in New Orleans wants to think, believe, or be told that Katrina may have been a judgement on their city. Unfortunately, the "coincidences" are too many to ignore.
