Thanks to you and all for comments on this!

I love these words patterned off of the Psalm Of King David when he repented. People like you are a support to me to keep going with my music which I do for the Lord and hope it blesses others.. I changed the name of my YouTube channel to simply Hymns and I intend to put more up there in the future.

God is truly good !

God Bless!

Did you ever think of singing the words to psalm 23?

Keith Green did this song years ago.  His original work I cold not find, but someone did put chords to his piano playing.  Not perfect, but it is a start ...

Psalm 23

    Em         D           C         Em

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

                A             C     Em

He makes me lie down in green pastures

              D              C  Em

He leads me beside the still water

                A

He restoreth my soul

    C         D       C        D            C      Em

And guides my path in righteousness for his name's sake

                    D

Surely goodness and loving kindness

      C                 D               Dsus4 D

Shall follow me all the days of my life

    Em                  D                    C        D        C Em

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever and ever

                          D             C         Em

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

           A              C    Em

I will not fear, thou art with me

                D           C       Em

Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me

                 A       C       D      C        D     C   Em

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies

                   D                           C   Em

Thou annointest my head with oil, my cup's overflowing

                    D

Surely goodness and loving kindness

      C                 D               Dsus4 D

Shall follow me all the days of my life

    Em                  D                    C        D        C Em

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever and ever

    Em         D           C         Em

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

The thought ran through my mind.

Someone mentioned the hymn, " The Old Rugged Cross". This was my mother's favorite hymn. I tracked it last night but haven't sang to it yet.

I mentioned it, I love that song! The old fashion hymns are so beautiful and have a much deeper meaning then many of the more modern songs...

I use to play it a lot.  Not sure why I haven't in awhile.  If you search YT for "Psalm 23 Keith Green" you can hear how he originally played it.  He was great on the piano!

It is a nice song.

Hymns  were intended to be sang ( or is that sung?) with a congregation and were not difficult to reproduce for the average musician with a guitar or piano.

This is one reason why I started the Hymns YouTube channel. To keep many of those old tunes alive. :) I think many of us can relate to them. We remember them and can associate with them.

Thanks for that link
