1 Corinthians 10:13 (NASB20)
No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If this scripture is true (and we know it is) the truth being put forth in this scripture is, if someone falls into sin there are only two possibilities of why…. One because one wanted to, or two, because one is ignorant of the way of escape…
For scripture puts forth that God does put forth His way of escape to all, when all are tempted…. Falling into temptation is then a matter of ignorance or willfulness…
Ignorance being, one does not believe or know the way of escape given by God…. One might think one does, but God’s way of escape works 100% of the time on 100% of temptations, never to fail in even the slightest degree….. That being the path of faith through death to life….
Willfulness being, one knows the path of escape yet chooses to enter into sin…. It is not one thinking one knows, yet falls into sin time and time again because one cannot find the door out of sin, that is still in the realm of ignorance… It is after one sees the way of escape by faith from sin to willfully choose to choose sin…. ( I chose this path once and it took me 6-9 months of misery to claw and crawl my way out of such a darkness that I knew only by maintaining my belief and faith in my death and resurrection with Christ that sooner or later I would once again walk in the light of life… This lesson was hard learned and taught me I would much rather die then ever willfully choose to not walk in the light I see when God is putting His finger on something….)
The path of faith of through death to life is the path of escape given by God…. The heart that is willing to be showed it God will bring that light to the heart… For God is good and He loves, and the salvation offered in Christ to walk in newness of life is real, it is for all believer’s…. The path of faith towards God being that path that will do and show all to the heart that is willing to be taught by the Spirit that has come to dwell in all those that are His….
Be blessed in being one of His…
A fallen world 🌎
We are all born into this, Temptations are an everyday thing for everyone no one is exempt, even Jesus was tempted
Temptation is not sin as you stated and as James writes
James 1:13-15
13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death
We as humans are capable of unimaginable thoughts, some temptations are repeated “ why does this one sin have its hooks in me?”, you might ask yourself, why does this constantly come up?
The end result is giving into the Temptation and crossed that line into sin, that is not the time to ask for help.. when we feel the Temptations enter our minds we can be sure the enemy is near,. We should ask for Gods help there at that point, we should acknowledge to ourselves what is going on, we pray right then that God give us the strength to resist
Some people will beat themselves up mentally about Temptations but you haven’t sinned at this point, DO NOT BE DISHEARTENED because of temptations
Jesus taught us how to pray to the Father including…”Lead us not into TEMPTATIONS but DELIVER US FROM EVIL for a reason, ask for his help
i posted this video before with a great lesson on dealing with the dragon 🐍
We are born into this fallen world and until we are given a new body at the resurrection we can be sure temptations will continue to try to get us to cross the line into sin separating us from our Father is what the enemy wants to do and Temptations are one of his tools to achieve this, When we do cross that line admit it right away and repent, Keeping secrets make us a slave to sin, Jesus will mediate for us but having to live in our sin in secret drives an even bigger wedge between us and the LORD
Choice. That is the principle. And we have Jesus, our example, making intercession for us to make the correct choice in any situation. Shalom
Hebrews 4:[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
[13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
[14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
[15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
[16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Because it is specifically designed to your lust (carnal desire) which has to be crucified.
Gal 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Mat 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
It seems that maintaining an active prayer life and being prayerful is one thing that is helpful in keeping us walking in the Spirit and thus not fulfilling the lust of the flesh.  The way of escape is in yielding to the Spirit, I believe.   Which does involve denying oneself, denying the flesh in other words.   "Not my will, but Thy will be done."  Amen, even unto death, as the OP is saying.
Agreed. If we walk in the Spirit (acknowledging His direction in everything) we will not yield to temptation. Shalom
Galatians 5:[16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
@Heleadethme & @branchesofHim
Hi, if I might put forth a thought concerning ‘walking in the Spirit’…
In Galatians it reads ‘having begun in the Spirit’, so therefore whatever the Galatians did at first was ‘in the Spirit’….
So what did the Galatians do at first…?
They simply believed…..
Food for the pondering….
    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.
      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.
      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.
      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.
      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”
    • Understanding the Enemy!
      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!
      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.
      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,
      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.
      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!
    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,
      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.
      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
