What I find disgusting is how the actual constructs of the EU, UN and NATO make it difficult to intervene---and this madman gets to so what he wants in the Ukraine. Who really wants to go to war with a country lead by a madman that can set off a scenario of massive, barely-conceivable destruction? I do think the efforts in play as well as the Russian people will end with Putins end, but many will suffer and die. I pray for peace in the Lord for His and the salvation of many who aren't. The free news in Russia has been shut down. Students, and others who disagree with Russia invading Ukraine, tried to protest, only to be arrested. Those who disagree with Putin fear martial law will soon be activated in Russia, so they are beginning to leave. The aim is a long overwhelming siege. No ingress (for supples) and no egress for humanitarian purposes. At least one million children are trapped along with infirm older folk and many thousands of mothers. Fake news has included Russian play-acting that the Ukraine people are "welcoming them". Totally fake. Laughable!! Yes, even fake Russian newsreels. Listen to the Russian 'news' and see how it is twisting facts to suit its narrative. What Russia did in Syria is being repeated now, but this time there are free news reports on the ground by brave citizens so it just will not work. An endless stream of goods are wending its way towards the refugees in the bordering countries of Ukraine. Young people are lining up for rifles in the Ukraine cities and are getting ready to fight the Russian invasion. The Russian media continues its disinformation so the population there really does not know the truth. Orwell was correct and "1984" prophetic. David Knott foundation is hosting a London webinair for Ukraine Doctors on how to deal with war wounds and on the spot surgery for Ukraine trauma surgeons. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.
