Today they are remembered. 19th May 1958. Stalin's terror. No one was held responsible then. Today they all might think that when Putin is gone, all the ones that did the acts will just wish it away. NOT SO, all will be taken to court and eventually punished without eascape. They cannot say, like "oh it was a mistake" or "I just did as I was ordered". More tortured and executed bodies found in Bucha. Russia has lost at least 1/3 of its fighting forces and equipment. The Kremlin says "it is all still going to plan". Belarus forces are moving close to the northern Ukraine border although rail workers in Blearus have destroyed railways to prevent troop movements there. Serial numbers are legible so delivery and mfg dates are easily traceble back to origin. Then it will be readily traceble to the unit and people who were in charge of their use.
