The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, suggested that the Russian occupation army could use tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

This is stated in an article by Zaluzhnyi and the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Security, Lieutenant General Mykhailo Zabrodskyi, which was published by Ukrinform, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In the article, Zaluzhnyi and Zabrodskyi reflect on the cooperation between Ukraine and its partners on the supply of weapons and other military assets necessary to confront Russia.

The first factor that the generals believe affects the speed of decision-making and the amount of assistance is that the West still does not understand the actual scale of the war.

It is noted that despite the enormous amount of information that is publicly available and instantly distributed in the media and social networks, it is difficult for the modern generation to imagine hostilities in the style of World War II.

The second factor is the threat of the use of tactical nuclear weapons by the Russian army.

"The fighting on the territory of Ukraine has already demonstrated how much the Russian Federation neglects world nuclear security issues even in a war using conventional means," the text of the article says.

It concerns the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP captured by the Russians. The invaders turned the station into a military base, and its territory is used for shelling Ukrainian cities and villages on the opposite bank of the Dnieper.

Zaluzhnyi and Zabrodskyi believe that nuclear strikes on the territory of Ukraine are unlikely to break the will of Ukrainians to resist.

At the same time, the danger that the whole of Europe will face should not be considered impossible.

"The possibility of direct involvement of leading countries in a "limited" nuclear conflict, which is directly viewed by the prospect of World War III, cannot also be completely ruled out," the article says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 15, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the world should be ready for Russia to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

At the same time, the former commander of U.S. troops in Europe, General Ben Hodges, suggested that Western countries would have to go to war with the Russian Federation if Putin decided to launch a nuclear strike on Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed condolences to the British Royal Family and the entire United Kingdom over the death of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

"It is with profound sadness that we have learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The invaders brought "fresh" soldiers from Russia to hold their positions in Kherson region, but the new ones refuse to go into battle.

This is stated in the message of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In order to maintain positions in Kherson region, the invaders brought "fresh" soldiers from the territory of the Russian Federation," the Defense Intelligence said.

However, according to intelligence, the replenishment categorically refuses to take part in offensive hostilities.

In the Dnipropetrovsk direction, the enemy is trying to hold its ground.

However, dissatisfaction with new reinforcements is growing among the occupiers - most of the "recruits" are 55-60 years old.

At the same time, information is spreading in the propaganda Russian media that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a fake "PR action."

Kremlin propaganda is trying to convince its citizens that all reports of a counteroffensive are a "demonstration" for Europe and the civilized world, and all Western weapons and military equipment provided were sold to unknown buyers.

The Russian occupiers on the right bank of the Dnieper River are ready to lay down their arms and come under the auspices of international humanitarian law, i.e. replenish the exchange fund.

Nataliya Humeniuk, the head of the press center of the Security and Defense Forces of the South Operational Command, said this on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

"We continue to advance, and this movement is quite convincing. It has an impact not only on the geographical shift of the enemy's positions, but also on a psychological one. Enemy units, starting to reformat, are looking for opportunities to contact our units in order to conduct so-called negotiations on the terms of assembling weapons and transition under the auspices of international humanitarian law. They realize that they are trapped between the bank of the Dnieper and our forces," she explained.

According to Humeniuk, the occupiers are trying to find ways to save their lives and this issue is being considered now.

Russian officials turned to Ukraine for negotiations to stop the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna announced this in an interview with the French publication France24 on Tuesday, September 13.

Stefanishyna noted that Ukraine is "preparing for the worst-case scenario" in terms of Russian revenge, but has not yet been caught by surprise.

"Stefanishyna said that Russian officials have turned to Ukraine for talks in recent days, but now the country has more leverage and will speak only when it reaches its military goals. She noted that now the Russians are offering negotiations to stop the Ukrainian advance," the publication reports.

The politician also emphasized that the occupied Donbas and annexed Crimea will return to Ukrainian control. Stefanishyna called on European leaders to tighten sanctions against Russia.

In connection with the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers are forced to urgently remove their families from the Crimea and are trying to sell real estate.

"Despite the assurances of the population about the safety of staying on the peninsula, representatives of the occupation administration of Crimea, FSB officers and commanders of some military units secretly from subordinates try to sell their homes and urgently remove relatives from the peninsula," the statement said.

Meanwhile, the occupiers banned the conclusion of transactions on the sale of housing, established restrictions on movement on the Crimean Bridge and are trying in every possible way to close access to information about the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian military leadership is trying to reinforce its troops in Ukraine and send Chechen battalions there, but they are understaffed.

This follows from a statement by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

To create combat power for operations in Ukraine, Russia relies on supposedly Chechen units, which in fact cease to be Chechen.

The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which consists of representatives of 35 United Nations member countries, has adopted a resolution requiring Russia to withdraw its troops from the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia region).

26 countries voted for the adoption of this resolution, only Russia and China were against, and 7 countries abstained from voting.

The document calls on Russia to "immediately cease all actions against, and at, the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant and any other nuclear facility in Ukraine."

The IAEA Board in the document expressed condolences in connection with the "the Russian Federation's persistent violent actions against nuclear facilities in Ukraine, in particular due to the presence of Russian forces and Rosatom personnel at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The resolution notes that the occupation of the station by Russian troops significantly increases the risk of nuclear disaster, while Ukrainian NPP personnel continue to operate the facility in dangerous conditions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, after the visit of the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the international agency confirmed that Russian military equipment stands on the territory of the power plant, including in the engine rooms of power units.

In addition, the team observed shells hitting: roofs of various buildings, in particular a special corpus, which houses fresh nuclear fuel and a storage of solid radioactive waste; a new academic building; a building where the central monitoring point of the physical protection system is located; a container where radiation monitoring system is located.

On September 1, the IAEA mission arrived at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, headed by Director General Rafael Grossi; in a few hours, Grossi and most of the mission members left the Zaporizhzhia NPP territory.

On September 5, two IAEA experts remained at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

Grossi noted that after the completion of the mission, the IAEA permanent mission will function at the station to improve the security situation.

German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said her country would hand over two more MARS II multiple rocket launchers to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian military will also receive 50 armored personnel carriers.

Lambrecht made a corresponding statement today, September 15, her words are quoted by Sky News.

According to her, Germany decided to transfer two more MARS II MLRS to Ukraine. Earlier, the country supplied the Ukrainian military with three such complexes.

The head of the German defense department explained that at this time the German military will begin training Ukrainian operators of MARS II systems.

Germany will also provide 200 missiles for MARS II complexes. Lambrecht did not specify which missiles were in question.

In addition, Germany will provide Ukraine with 50 Dingo armored personnel carriers.

Dingo is a wheeled armored personnel carrier manufactured by the German company Krauss-Maffei. It entered service with the Bundeswehr in 2003.

The armored personnel carrier hull consists of class 3 combination armor and a remotely controlled turret that can be equipped with a 7.62 and 12.7 millimeter machine gun or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.

According to open source information, as of 2016, 177 Dingo armored personnel carriers of various modifications were in service with the Bundeswehr.

The MARS II MLRS is the German counterpart of the American M270 MLRS missile systems. Several such MLRS were also transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military also has a wheeled version of these complexes - the famous HIMARS M142.

Recall that in August, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not lose a single MLRS, which were received from Western allies.
