Hi,I no longer want to become a monk because I realised that there are some rules to follow.I'm choosing this path because my mother was scammed by 2 old people who were pentecostals. They sold the appartment without the balcony and the garden.

In my opinion, these 2 people were protected by their christian community, they had a free lawyer and free food  while we(me and my mom) weren't protected at all and I find that a discrimination.

Why is that?

I just don't find it fair that some people are protected by their community and others have to pay in order to be satisfied.

I went to the local priest to receive help and all that he could give us were some piece of paper with some saints pictures.

What are the benefits of this religion?

Can you receive human help from this religion?

As a normal christian I went to the church but no one listened to me.......

Is it my fault?

  • Huh? I don't get it. 1

I forgot to mention that there is an institution which is based on social help but the General Social Assistance Directorate only helps people who have a handicap or are in college and have a social scholarship!

I had a social scholarship but that didn't gave me a financial support each month and I had to rely on my relatives.

The church only cared about my money and not about my financial crisis!

You need a lawyer to investigate this. In our country there are stringent property laws designed to eliminate contracts that disadvantage either party, buyer or seller.

I would want a lot more in-depth information before commenting.  To start with where do you live?

Hummm.....     I know very little about the laws there concerning your problem.  It doesn't seem the church should help some members over others. But it's difficult for me to see the whole picture.

God sees all. God judges all fairly. Injustice is never hidden from Him.

It seems at time the bad side is winning. Make no mistake, as surely as God is God, He will even the score eventually.

It is not in our hand to level judgments on those who  mistreat us. " Justice is mine I will repay says the Lord".

Sometimes justice is dealt through a country's legal system. Sometimes justice is only seen on the other side of the grave.

Many many things will seem unfair, and certainly many many things ARE unfair.

There is a saying here in the states, " some days you are the bird, and some days you are the windshield".

Today you are the windshield. Tomorrow you could unknowingly be the bird.

In this world sometimes bad men are protected by other bad men in high places. Religion is often only a front for corruption.

We should pray for protection from evil men. I will pray God will rescue you from this situation I don't entirely understand.

I may not understand it but God understands and HE is the only one who can make things right.

I know this is easier to say than to do, that is, not to be tempted to take things into our own hands. God's timing is often different than our timing.

Are you using the term "pentecostal" in the sense given here?

Quote from BBC - Religions - Christianity: Pentecostalism

Pentecostalism is a form of Christianity that emphasises the work of the Holy Spirit and the direct experience of the presence of God by the believer.

Pentecostals believe that faith must be powerfully experiential, and not something found merely through ritual or thinking.

Pentecostalism is energetic and dynamic. Its members believe they are driven by the power of God moving within them.

Pentecostal churches stress the importance of conversions that amount to a Baptism in the Spirit. This fills the believer with the Holy Spirit, which gives the believer the strength to live a truly Christian life.

The direct experience of God is revealed by gifts of the Spirit such as speaking in tongues, prophecy and healing.

Pentecostalism is based on a key event in the life of the early Christians: the baptism of the twelve disciples by the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
