Hello,

I am needing clarification on women pastors allowing to serve in the Shephard's capacity.

I feel that there is a calling there with some of these, but I really do not know how to make the determination of pastorial ministy.

Thank you, Gentlesound

If the Lord sends a female in the capacity of Elijah I wouldn't want to be the captain to aproach her.

I hate milk toast literally AND I hate spiritual milk toast...both make me vomit. I have been to church after church and I have yet to find a place that fits the requirements of getting more than coming to the cross and all is just hunky dorey because many years ago I got dipped in water. There should be more to the church and it is oh so difficult to find.

Apparently you have never been to the church, or it's sistering congregations, that I attend. We get a lot of edification and equal fire and brimstone.

what is the church...I'll happily check it out

church authority:

trustees,

teachers,

social authority:

Christ

CEO

Board of directors,

Plant manager,

shift/sight foremen,

lead persons,

crew chiefs/shift supervisors,

workers

Household authority:

Christ,

Husband,

Wife,

Children

anytime we step out from under the covering of the line of authority, we subject ourselves to attacks from the enemy and we are removing ourselves from the blessings of God.... God is the one that has placed every one in the positions of leadership.

I think it is using a lot of these: ! at the end of sentences.

okay, I need to make a point here and then I'll leave this tedious topic alone.

Men want women to submit and they want to keep their headship in the family and in church....fine, I gladly hand it over to the ones who should be doing it, if they can be found. BUT, in a society that is full of broken single parent homes, a church full of passive ministers and a congregation full of believing whatever is pedaled on them causes me to stand back and allow the Lord only to be my head, for the truth is watered down and man/women like to make scripture into whatever is needed for the moment. Now I am not saying that the people here do these things but the truth is, this is the norm. And it will get increasingly worse. So, should I decide that I am being fed meat by a woman minister, then I am going to go where the meat is being served....I hate milk toast literally AND I hate spiritual milk toast...both make me vomit. I have been to church after church and I have yet to find a place that fits the requirements of getting more than coming to the cross and all is just hunky dorey because many years ago I got dipped in water. There should be more to the church and it is oh so difficult to find. I continually seek out churches where tolerance is taboo and the truth of sin and repentant hearts is preached. I want to know that there is someone out there willing to speak up about the new age God that says anything goes. And if I can't find these qualities then who is better suited to have headship over me than the Lord himself? The United States if full of arrogant, selfish and self willed people who make it very clear, if you don't think, look and act like us you are a heretic and not a child of the one true God. Funny thing is they are the ones who don't know who the one true God is.

So I challenge anyone of any gender to stand up and speak the truth!! Be a leader for God and stop worrying about whether the mainstream church of the United States aka Laodicea likes what you got to say or whether or not you wear pants. When I see someone willing to do that I will know that I have found a true leader of the Church of Christ and it won't matter not one iota their gender!

So these are the reasons why I have no headship over me but Christ. And there will be a day when I find that place that feeds me the noutrients my soul needs. Until then, I read and I study and I do what I can to stay as true to God's word as possible. This being said, God will place whomever He wants (male or female) in the position of leadership. He knows who is best suited for the position not me nor any of YOU.

I am not a minister nor am I a teacher of God's word. I am a student and a servant and I bow deeply to the Lord and only the Lord.

love and blessings to you all

(edited and added for Ddavid: !!!!!!)

I don't know what type of churches you have been attending but this is what my church teaches about "doing church" God's way. Link below. My pastor preached a series of messages on this. We are affiliated with F.I.R.E. Fellowship of Independant Reformed Evangelicals. My pastor is a member. If you're ever in Northeast Ohio, we'd love to have anyone visit. PM me for directions and location. :whistling:

Jackie D,

I understand about being fed MILK TOAST, we are old enough (spiritually) that we should be feeding ourselves.... I understand the watered down messages given during a sermon, even the Words of Prophecy are even watered down to the point at times i want to puke, my spirit is very uneasy.

During a "REVIVAL" (that is what they were calling it) a woman spoke a word of prophecy, and it was perfectly in line with the Word of God, a word of encouragement, direction and a bit of correction in it, and the pastor told her to shut up, that what she was saying was not from God. the evangelist that was to speak even had a puzzled look on his face when she was told to be quiet, for what she had said, was almost directly out of Revelation (as far as the message, the wording was not the same, but the message was not unlike the ones given to the 7 churches.....

the pastor had his toes stepped on, about being luke warm. we were visiting the church, for anytime we can worship with others and "network" and build ties between believers we like to do that.....

as the Great Commission states, we are all called out to go to all the world, to preach the gospel of Christ.... to all people, all nations, all tongues.......

We all need some one to be accountable to..... Christ sent out the desciples in twos.... for protection and accountability....

we should go out the same way.... in twos......

I know two women that both work together, going from community to community, preaching the Gospel of Jesus.... they work together..... not much different then Paul and Silas..... they remain blameless......

Billy Graham has never made the news for having done something wrong... .why? cause he has people watching his back...

David Wilkerson, also, has never made the news in this fashion, for he also keeps his back covered...

my wife and me, work together, so there is no chance of some one saying something against either of us.... it has gotten to the point in this world, that we have to ensure our backs are covered, that we have some one at all times with us to protect us.....

the Prayer House the Lord has blessed us so with the operation of, we have chosen not to have any children's programs or events at this time, for several reasons, one being insurance is so much higher when doing events with children then with adults.... and Shiloh is run (truly a not for profit) strictly out of our pockets, so adding the insurance would increase it three fold ( ie: from $600.00 to about 1800.00) just in liability.....

many people remain with the mainstream churches, so they can afford the insurance.....

blessings.....

mike

Shalom Jackie,

Promise?? :laugh::laugh:

Men want women to submit and they want to keep their headship in the family and in church....fine, I gladly hand it over to the ones who should be doing it, if they can be found.

Actually, that is incorrect.

G-D wants women to submit to His authority structure and that means submitting to one's husband and submitting to a male spiritual authority if in a church.

So, you're saying that you can't "find" any of the the men G-d has called to be leaders in their homes and churches so you're gonna help Him out by stepping in their roles? :taped:

That makes NO sense either intellectually or Scripturally.

We either do it G-D's way or we are in rebellion. Simple!

Saying you allow the L-rd to be your head and not submitting to HIS authority structure is deceiving yourself. G-d's Word is clear that men are the ones in authority in the home and church and if a women refuses to submit to G-d's structure, she is NOT allowing the L-rd to be her head, but she is placing herself ABOVE G-d by not submitting to Him.

It's an old trick to say "G-d is my authority, I need no one else." , but that's not what the Bible teaches, so if a woman goes against her husband's authority or over men in church, she is NOT having G-d as her authority, she is having herself.

Society has nothing to do with anything. G-d's Word is His Word. If one rebells against G-d's Word and makes excuses for it (there are NO good men left!! :P ), the person needs to know they are rebelling against G-d, not men.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
