I want to thank those chinese Christians- whoever's been praying for persecution. I have been reading the "Jesus Freaks" books, and I get VOM newsletters.... What we REALLY need is the persecution. We have everything too easy, as someone already said, and also we DO need some real consequences! someone who's a Christian in this "accept everybody" environment we have, merely has to confront the acceptance of some ungodly things- we don't have to hardly stand up for ourselves, because we are considered to be some of the people that "need to be accepted, and tolerated". Tolerance is running rampant, and it is saddening how much of it is even happening in Christian churches.

Well, I have to go home now- I am at college.... so,

Lehitra'ot!

Hi

I loved that book you about China and the Spirit of the living God. I cried through the whole book because this is what I was raised on and I have for the passed 32 years watched the so called "church" die with no one desiring to change the way we are headed.

I believe God will send judgement upon our country first in the form of catastraphy of natural disasters Hurricanes, Tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes. Then if the heart of the people do not turn to the Living God he will send war upon our Proud nation.

When the Bubbles pop upon our sloppy fleshly lifesyle, we will have to cry out to the savior for deliverance, forgiveness and turn to him with our whole heart.

But we are too full and satisfied with our so called church and religion and patterns

our so called prosparity etc... & sins.

God will do what ever it takes to turn our face towards him and if it be war or trials or tribulations like china then bring it on.

Because we are in a laodician state and dead to the Spirit that is to be with in our church our hearts and life.

I have been saved since 5 years old and it is a continuious working everyday. I was filled with the Holy Spirit since the age of 8 and would not trade the Living God and his Power in any way or shape or form for the pleasures of this world or the so called church.

I lived where the Church of China is and have see the death of it also I pray God does something to open up the Building of the Last church upon the face of the church that we would do greater works then the Lord Jesus did here upon the earth.

There will be a body of Christ and a Church but nothing by the Fleshly standard of man.

God Bless you and keep you searching for the deeper things of God.

Keep the replies coming . Although maybe I should have been more specific... I am really interested in hearing what people think has or is hindering the Holy Spirit from entering the church in America.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

▪ Sin. Churches have evaded the main message of sin and its consequences.

▪ Failure to 'come to Jesus' and want Him.

▪ Aberrant revivals have replace the Davidic nature of Jesus.

▪ Contemporary worship bands have replaced the reverent worship that used organ\pipe organ and piano in churches. Belongs in youth ministry.

▪ Failure to understand, love, and support God's plan for Israel.

This is so true. Music in church has changed so much lately, even in "conservative" churches, they tend to play more "fast paced" music, and try to mimmick what the world is doing in music. You can play the same song to two different syles of music, and on one the Holy Spirit will work, but on the other he wants no part. Why? Because there is a certain type of music that in and of itself honors God, due to melody and harmony, and there are certain types of music, that regardless of the lyrics, do not honor God. I've often been hindered in worship services by the music itself, even if the song was one of my favorite hymns/ praise songs, because something just-wasn't-right about the music...

I love the old music.

Anyone who is familair with the revival and underground church in China can attest to the strong differences (relatively speaking) to that of the American church.

After reading the book "The Heavenly Man" I was both inspired and shocked by how rampant the Holy Spirit roams across China. In my own opinion, China's underground church is the closest church aligned to the early church shortly after Christ's death.

Recently, a predominant leader of China's underground church came to America and toured around the churches. Afterwards he was asked what he thought of the church in America and he said "Its amazing what the American church has accomplished without the Holy Spirit."

Many American church leaders see this and have gone to revivialistic areas of the world with hopes of "bringing back" revivial to America. However I believe such revival precipitates indigenously. There is something about American culture/views/values that inhibits the full potential of the church.

What are your opinions on the church in America?

Have you read 'Like a Mighty Wind' by Mel Tari? (1971) It tells about a genuine revival in Indonesia with 'tongues of fire' just like on the day of Pentecost. The fire department came when they saw the church engulfed with fire, but it wasn't burning up. It was the fire of God that came with the Holy Ghost. God gave them "all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as well as power and love and order".

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
