The Law is designed to prevent a Terrorist from getting too close to the White House and detonating something.

Actually during the previous Administration the Road in front of the White House was closed to traffic. I know what it is to drive by the White House. I used to do it every Saturday night on a binder. It was quite lovely in the Winter around Christmas.

Maybe the Bill of Rights allows Miss Sheehan to drive a Large Van by the White House too?

The fact of the matter is that a Photo Op was set up by using the current Law.

Pure and simple it is Polotics. It has nothing to do with personal Liberty to the violators.

On Fox News this morning they were already talking about suspending Posse Comitatus.

Of course, it "so we can respond better to natural disasters."

For those that don't know... Posse Comitatus is the Act that forbids military from engaging in civilian law enforcement.

I guess it doesn't matter one way or the other because we already see military everywhere even with Posse Comitatus intact.

Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests. One man climbed over the White House fence and was quickly subdued by Secret Service agents.

So, the police should just let people break the law at their convenience?

There are plety of laws in this land that aren't exactly "Bill of Rights" stuff that have needed to be added since then due to changing circumstances.

Parents do this at home with their children all the time, don't they?

What if your child treated your rules the way these protesters treated the US laws and the police?

That is not a valid comparison. Not even close.

Since 9/11 adjustments have had to be made. No one is preventing Cindy Sheehan from protesting no one is taking her rights away. Loitering in front of the White House is not permitted. It is for the President and his family, a security issue. But then flying over the White House is illegal too. The White House is a very sensitive area, and is treated differently than any other place.

Cindy Sheehan is an embarassment. She would have looked much better if she had complied with law enforcement officials instead making her and cohorts look like a bunch screaming fanatics. There are respectable ways to protest publicly and get your point across.
