Thanks for sharing. I, too, have a Publix very near to where I live. Also, Aldi's is across the street from Publix. And Aldi's has fresh, uncooked pizza that one can pop in the oven. The only thing I don't like about it is this: the crust is too thick. The topping on the Supreme Pizza is really good. So, what a friend of mine did was cut most of the crust away (bit of a difficult task) and ended up with a thin crust pizza. It was excellent!

That roasted garlic flatbread you mentioned sounds good.

Just edited to add that the only way that a thick crust ---on a 16-inch pie topped---can be thinned is to first cut the uncooked pie into 8ths, just like you would cut it after it was cooked. After that, each 1/8th piece can be thinned with a real sharp knife. I see it as a pain in the butt and wouldn't do it.

62 replies (a lot of them mine) but only 28 votes so far. I'll have to see the the official pie thread still exists, and compare, maybe I expect to much. Since pizza is such a critical topic in our day, I am surprised not more are finding this thread and voting - people are are to figure sometimes. Perhaps the problem is here, that pizza toppings are more subjective, so there is not much to argue about passionately. My mistake was clearly not formatting this differently.

If you are a Calvinist, vote for pepperoni.

If your are a pre-trib rapture believer, vote for olives.

If you believe that the authentic gift of tongues is not for today, vote for pineapple, etc,

You know many folks scroll the main boards to see what's happening,everytime someone starts a thread in General Discussion the Pizza Poll- gets replaced on the main- I believe General Discussion is where most people post their Topics so it gets pushed waaay down the line.   That's my take

Maybe we could post the link in random topics now & then where it's busy,especially where all the nit pick us gather( lol) .Perhaps" time out,cool down & take the Pizza Poll"

Just a thought! Might lighten up some heated discussions,lol

Except that it is a pinned topic, so it stays near the top. I'll unpin in once there are some more votes, and then go onto phase two, but 28 votes is not much of a statistical basis, but I would hold out for 1000 votes as a sample like political posters do!
