The 100th meridian in the US is moving further east. Everything from the 100th meridian to the west is desert like until you get past the cascade mountain range and on to California, Oregon and Washington. What this means is the desert is taking more territory over time. The Sahara desert in North Africa is a vast swath of dry fruitless land and there are other similar locales in other countries.

We have been seeing, observing in real time, less rainfall to the point that entire cities are threatened. Some cities in Texas that sit close to the 100th meridian are experiencing less and less rainfall as that line moves over time. The difference between just enough and not enough is getting very close. In my lifetime I have seen big changes. My old home state is hotter and drier than it once was. The summers are more extreme and last longer now. Scientists attempt to predict the future behavior of the sun, but sometimes, like very recently , it sent us a real curve ball, Truth be told, scientists can't predict the sun with any accuracy. The sun affects far more than just temperature here.

I have a hard time believing we have more trees now than we had in the past. To me this does not makes sense. Before the US was settled and when it was still a young country there were many more trees. The rain forests are being gutted for wood, farmland and other resources.

So I see man as some of the problem, but I also see weather trends leading up to the end times also as a factor and it doesn't surprise me that we are seeing some changes affecting major weather patterns.

I do not believe a carbon tax by environmentalists will really have any positive impact on any of it, since i think this is all politics to advance a new world order and a global climate agenda.

Meridians do not move!  They are fixed geographic references.

We all know we are to be good stewards of the Lord's creation and what He blesses us. However, and this is a biggie, I suspect we are close to the Tribulation based on scripture. The book of Revelation contains what I would call serious climate change, a real climate catastrophe of mega proportions.

Asteroid impacts, scorching heat, atmosphere clogged with smoke and debris, 1/3 of all trees and grass burnt up, 1/3 of all water contaminated, etc. I am not going to stress and lose any sleep over it.

The Lord promises the four seasons will continue. God is in control; in the end, everything will be burned and dissolved with fervent heat.

We can do our part, though. Eat more beef to reduce the cow flatulence causing all this climate change. LOL. That is absurd; what Einstein dreamt that nonsense up?

In the 7 year tribulation the climate change will seem like a walk in the park.

All these things are caused by GOD, not anything that man can control. Except for the nuclear war fallout, of course.

It says you live in the Tampa Bay area.  After Hurricane Ian and other recent, destructive storms, you don't believe in climate change?  Wait a few years, when the oceans become even warmer and hurricanes increase in strength...

And exactly was the weather like 500 years ago? Entire fleets of Spanish galleons sunk off Florida's coast because of hurricanes. How warm was the ocean then? No one knows the answers to these questions. Climate change? No, the climate is cyclical, and the Earth was not destroyed. Humans have been trying for a long time to control the weather and have been unsuccessful. It will always be thus until the End when nuclear war breaks out over Israel.

What I mean is the weather either side of the meridian is changing.

Absurd!  You should learn something about the climate before you post.

Okay, but you wrote that the 100th meridian in the US is moving further east.

Thanks for the correction.

The 100th meridian was once a very accurate dividing line. Go a short distance to the west and the rainfall could be as much as 10-20" less than going the same distance to the other side of the line.

I believe the line was originally placed for that very reason, as a great divide of climates. Climate change has moved the effects of dryer climate further to the east.

Yes, sir, the sun is the driving force of our climate. The Lord says the four seasons will not end, as I interpret it, until the end. It is the most significant factor driving the weather, sea currents, photosynthesis, and all life.

Satan is the prince and power of the air. As we see in the book of Job, Satan and his generals can use and control the weather and the creation for destruction and death. Only as far as the Lord allows, God is in control.

Revelation 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. [emphasis added]

The climate and nature will go wild. I believe we are experiencing the beginnings of the birth pains leading up to the curtain call. The earth and its occupants will experience climate change never experienced or ever after.

I believe a global carbon tax and global regulation on emissions are close at hand. Whom do we suppose gets this flow of income? How will it be utilized? The creation of an Army for global enforcement of One World laws, policies, and regulations.

Waiting for spring in Seattle is like waiting for the hot water to start in the shower: You know it's gonna get here, but you could freeze your bippy off waiting.

I'll bet my bippy we will start seeing signs of the sun going haywire. Be it CME/solar flare activity, heating up, cooling down, expanding, getting closer to earth, a destroyed ozone layer or magnetic field, or a combination of events.

Because the population has become so dumbed down, cow flatulency is a significant factor in climate change. One day before long, we will walk into a super Walmart and ask, "where's the beef?" Walk into Wendy's and order two quarter-pound seaweed burgers w/ plastic cheese.

Does this sound ridiculous in today's world?

All meridians are based on the Greenwich meridian which is the global reference meridian. It just happened that the 100th meridian west coincided roughly with this change in the US climatic regions and became a convenient reference point within the US. It means almost nothing for anyone else in the world.
