God's True Purpose For Israel

The Lord God in heaven has no more of a purpose for any person on earth than for them to repent and believe the gospel of Christ. Those who repent and believe who Have the Hope of Christ will go into God's kingdom and those who will not repent and believe will be destroyed, killed, put to death, there will be wailing and knashing of teeth when they find out who they are. There is neither greek nor jew bond nor free male nor female, all are in one group or the other. It is God's purpose that all people should be saved and He has made the way that all people can be saved. When the time comes and the door is closed the Lord will not spare or have pitty on anyone who is outside. If anyone needs scripture for all of this just ask and I will post it.

While I am not personally familiar with any of the organizations listed in this discussion, I wanted to add some thoughts regarding sharing the Gospel. My take on this is that there are several stages in evangelism that will hopefully lead to a person receiving Christ.

The first is the cultivating stage. During this stage a person (or organization for that matter) is not trying to win the battle of truth. They are trying to win the battle of trust.

In this stage we are not trying to get people to trust in the gospel. We are trying to get them to trust in the bearers of the message. So it may be possible that organizations who have agreed not to share the gospel directly, view themselves as cultivating the ground for later sharing which will occur during the sowing phase.

It is in this the sowing phase that hopefully relationships have been established that will allow us to share the truth of the Gospel in the context of established relational trust.

The harvest phase is the point after relational trust and propositional truth have been shared. In this phase we get past the intellectual issues to issues of the heart. The real reasons why they do not want to respond to the Gospel.

Finally the multiplication phase happens after the person has received Christ (or the people group has been penetrated). In this phase we equip the new believer(s) to reach out themselves.

So I guess my caution is that we should not arrive at conclusion too hastily as to whether or not a person or organization is fulfilling the great commission

I spent 3 years in Israel with my husband and son. We worked with Bridges for Peace.

Your accusations and statements concerning Bridges for Peace are false and hateful.

You DO NOT know what you are talking about and you are being untruthful in your assertions.

You say that you will expose the lies of Christian Zionism. First of all Christian Zionism is of God so what lies would those be that you are accusing God of ? Second you can not expose a 'supposed lie' with a lie !! What you are saying is a lie ! You are attempting to undermine a ministry that for over 25 years has been a Christian presence in Israel to the Glory of God !

The Truth -

It is against the law in Israel to bribe someone to change their faith. That was not a law created

by Bridges for Peace. We abide by the law of the land - Israel ! Bridges for Peace has the largest food bank in Jerusalem, giving away over 2 tons of food a day to the needy and the hungry (by the way - how much food did you give away today to someone in need). There is no bribing of anyone to change their faith, BUT there is also NO hesitancy to speak to someone about our Faith! Even within the setting of the food bank we freely tell the Jewish people that we are Christains who are doing what we are doing because we love Yeshua and we are fulfilling His heart to bless Israel ! Anytime a Jewish person asks us about our faith or about Yeshua we freely share the Gospel with them ! THERE HAVE BEEN NO PAPERS SIGNED WITH THE GOVERNMENT CONTRARY TO THIS !! You are wrong when you say there have been !! Be careful what you accuse an honorable Christian organization of !

I find your lack of knowledge of Bridges for Peace while professing to know the 'truth' to be deplorable and I respectfully ask that you cease your unfounded and untruthful accusations immediately !!

You may not like the way in which God is using Bridges for Peace, but if that's the case that's your problem and you need to settle that with God and not try to malign a ministry that He has raised up for such a time as this.

Just in case you think that I don't know what I'm talking about (even after spending 3 years there in the Land working with this ministry) then I will tell you that I personally spoke to the

CEO of Bridges for Peace today and all of the facts as I have stated them here are

There has been some discussion and a bit of confusion about what is a

Christian Zionist and what they believe.

I will give my thought

I will begin with a definition of a Biblical/Christian Zionist. The definition is embodied in a simple 7 point explanation -

1. The Bible is the Word of God

2. God owns the whole world

3. God can give any portion of the world to whomever He wills

4. God has given the land of Israel to the Jewish people

5. Christains should cooperate with the plan of God by praying for the peace of Jerusalem

and acting in a manner supportive of the nation of Israel, for It's continued security

and existence.

6. Christians should actively oppose anti-Semitism

7. To be pro-Israel is Not to be anti-Arab. Christians express love and compassion for

all people.

This platform does not imply that Biblical/Christian Zionists agree with everything the Israeli government does. It simply means that we agree with the Word of God and wish to cooperate with God's Divine Plan.

Question- is your post saying that God no longer has a specific plan for national Israel ?

Comment - in the same verse that says there is now neither Greek nor Jew it also says that there in neither male nor female. If you take one you must take the other. So what do you think it means. Are we no longer distinctly men and women?

I know what "Bridges for Peace" is, and I also know they have signed papers and have in entered into an agreement to withhold the Gospel from the Jewish people.

My argument is with those organizations like the one you named "Bridges for Peace," which have agreed to withhold the gospel to the Jewish people, and also with those who in some cases taught against presenting it.

Yes, their actions have spoken louder that words alright, when they signed papers entering into an agreement to withhold the Gospel from the Jewish people. To EVERYONE: Jake is lying. I did some checking...

I have just found out that Bridges For Peace has signed NO SUCH PAPERS to withhold the gospel from the Jewish people. According to Becky Brimmer who is the CEO of Bridges for Peace, they are free to speak of Yeshua/Jesus to whomever come into their food banks looking for help. They freely and publcly acknowledge Yeshua as the Messiah and everyone in Israel knows that they believe they are there to be a blessing to the Jewish people in the Name of Yeshua/Jesus. They are not hindered, and have no agreement to withhold the Gospel.

If Jake is lying about Bridges for Peace, he is probably lying about other ministries as well. If ANYONE, including Jake uses this thread as platform to slander another ministry, this thread will be reported and shut down.

As I said earlier, Jake for Jesus doesn't know what he is talking about, and should not be considered a reliable source of information about Christian Zionism. He has already shown his utter lack of credibility.

I am closing this thread because it contains false accusations against a ministry that, by extension, Worthy is a part of. I am going to leave it until the end of the day, however, so that all who have been involved with this thread will know the reason for its deletion.

In the future, any poster that accuses a Christian ministry of wrongdoing had beeter have the weight of evidence on his or her side, as this is a serous charge to lay against brothers and sisters in the Body.
