Let's look at what the Word of God says about the poor just in Isaiah!

Isaiah

3:13 The Lord stands up to plead, and stands to judge the people.

14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people,

and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard;

the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

15 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor?

saith the Lord God of hosts.

10:

1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people,

that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far?

to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

11:

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:

and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

14:

30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root

with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion,

and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm,

a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and

the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed,

and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

Isaiah 32:7 Also the schemes of the schemer are evil; He devises wicked plans.

To destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks justice.

Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness,

to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?

when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

The poor, the afflicted, the down-trodden, the oppressed, fatherless and

widows will always have a place in the Father's heart.

Said another way. Socialism and wealth redistribution are taken from those who rightfully worked for and earned it. Redistributing it to those with an entitlement mentality never has or will ever work for the politician’s choice of beneficiaries and votes.

The big push today of the fiscal equality of nations of people. Striving to make everyone equal, equally poor. Except for the wealthy and ruling class, our masters. The “Great Reset” is where you will not own anything and be happy about it.

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

The 'poor' includes those oppressed and persecuted,

not simply a part of an economic class.

Rich Oppressors Will Be Judged

James 5:

1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!

2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.

3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.

4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.

I always loved this combination here also

Deut 15:7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

Deut 15:8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need
in that which he wanteth.

Even as it says here

Prov 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Even here

Luke 14:14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

The part I love the most

Deut 15:10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him
because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

For God loveth a cheerful giver!

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,for the rights of all who are destitute."

"Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." {Proverbs-31:8-9}

"Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy." {Psalms-82:3}

"Do not withhold good from those to whom to is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so." {Proverbs-3:27}

 Whether it is the "poor in spirit" or those who are without money or those who are being persecuted or taken advantage of, I believe helping anyone who is truly in need should primarily be left up to Churches and social service agencies/organizations, food banks,etc. and let the Government do whatever they are going to continue to do since that is pretty much out of our hands. Because when you bring it down to dealing with people in a one on one basis then you can judge much better just who really needs help and who is just looking for another free handout simply because they "qualify" for it. Either way helping the poor or giving to charities is really the only good works many of us can do so you should always be ready and willing in case an opportunity presents itself or whenever you are "led" by the Spirit to do so.

Just respect each person as a person, judging him by his character and not his wealth or position in society.

Jesus did this, so should we.

But judging is what we do, no sense in pretending otherwise, and as Jesus taught we will find ourselves being judged by the same standards we use to judge others.  We should strive to see ourselves, judge ourselves, in the same light we do others.

There is judgment that leads one to condemn others,

and then there is righteous judgment.

John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance,

but judge with righteous judgment.

The apostolic doctrine instructs us in judgment that leads

to edification, exhortation and comfort, not condemnation.

"For mercy triumphs over judgment."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
