I hope that the gun control effort succeeds.  Murders are being committed almost daily by people who should never have been allowed to own a gun.

This man needs fired for even suggesting such unconstitutional laws. America doesn't have a gun problem, it has a violence problem which he is making worse.

As long as he continues to go after the second amendment rather then address the actual problem the worse the problem will get no matter how many gun laws get passed.

So are you saying that there are too many fist fights?  People are being shot almost daily by deranged people who shouldn't have the ability to own guns.  The United States definitely has a gun problem!  Look at other countries' death rates by guns compared to the US.  We lead the rest of the world by far.

I suggest that you read the Second Amendment carefully.  Its purpose is "the security of a free state".

Well, there are too many people who end up in the hospital because idiot guys walk down the street and cold-cock them in the back of the head.  You see that fairly frequently. Just last week again.

And those four college students a couple of weeks ago were killed by knife stabs.

And the number of people who intentionally run others down with their cars are not infrequent.  Just watch the news.  A whole slew of police cadets just last week.

A sitting President asking Congress to pass any kind of controversial law during the lame duck season is cowardice to me.  I don't care what party he represents.

What does he mean by "gun control".  No one knows! That's the problem.  The extreme left means to take them away.  What does a more moderate left mean?

You can take away my gun, but the criminals will ALWAYS have them.  Ergo, the problem.

"Two wrongs don't make a right".  So there are other kinds of violence besides shootings.  What is your point?

Just imagine being in a Wal-Mart or a supermarket and some lunatic comes in and starts gunning down innocent people.  I'm sure that if you experienced this kind of insanity you would change your tune.  And it could happen to you, a family member, or someone you know.  How would you like to send you child to school and never see them live again because somebody murdered them?  Is that the kind of country that you want to live in???

President Biden is trying to get some legislation passed that will help prevent these kinds of mass murders.  Why do you oppose that???  Do you want to see mass murders continue on an almost-daily basis???  If not, what is your solution?

And don't give us that "arm teachers" or some other nonsense.  Remember Uvalde, when even law enforcement people were hesitant to act and school children were murdered because of their cowardice!!!

All the more reason to permit competent, willing, school employees to discreetly carry a gun on their person.  Cops have families too and are sometimes hesitant to put their own lives in the line of fire for someone else.  A teacher backed into a corner by a madman with a gun is far more likely to shoot the shooter rather than go down quietly.

But that's all secondary.  The 2nd amendment was created so that citizens can defend themselves from and overthrow (if necessary) a tyrannical government.

Actually, anyone who really wants to kill a LOT of random people should use a truck and hit a parade or something similar.  The Nice, France terrorist that used a truck make most American mass-shooters look like amateurs.  Are we going to ban trucks too?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Nice_truck_attack

On the evening of 14 July 2016, a 19-tonne cargo truck was deliberately driven into crowds of people celebrating Bastille Day on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France, resulting in the deaths of 86 people and the injury of 458 others.[4][5]

This is total nonsense!!!

well-regulated militia -- LAW ENFORCEMENT -- being necessary to the security of a free state..." Law enforcement failed to do their job!!!

Claiming that the 2nd amendment was created so that citizens can defend themselves from and overthrow (if necessary) a tyrannical government is a gross distortion.  Why can't you understand what the security of a free state means?

BTW, you forgot to include Trump's picture in your collection.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
